Drab Drinks (DRAB = DRessed As Boy) is about people on the T-scene getting together, relaxing and having a good time. Come, have a drink and make some new friends. Even if you're more into dressing I hope you'll find this a useful place to meet people and plan other get togethers. Largely by accident we've duplicated the format of the fantastic drab drink events at Waterloo. It's a wonderful way of getting to know people and making friends who dress.
We're in the Griffin. I think it's < 10mins walk (in flats not heels) from Reading station. Come out the North side, turn left along Vastern road, on to Caversham road and over the bridge. The pub is on left at the bottom of St. Peters Hill. Car parking out the back.
Most people come almost straight from work and are in guy mode casual or work clothes. If you're dressed we're not going to turn you away, but most (likely all) of us will be in guy mode. Most people arrive from 8:00pm and we stayed to 10:30 last time around (still a very new event). If you're planning to arrive earlier, please grab the biggest non-reserved table you can find.
There are no fees, but It would be really helpful if you would put your name down for the event so we have a good idea how many are coming - there will be a point we need to start telling the pub and maybe reserving an area.
Just so that it is easier to find us inside the pub there will be a Victorian style doll with dress and blue bonnet sat on the table.
