I became aware at a very young age that the touch, feel and smell of certain things aroused me in ways I didn’t fully understand. Clearly I was also aroused by the look of things as my mother still likes to tell the story of when at the age of four years old I announced I thought black stockings and suspenders were sexy. I also became aware early on that it felt nice if I stuck a finger up my bum. Of course curiosity then led to me trying other things.
At the age of eleven my father died suddenly and this appears to have been a trigger to start dressing up in my mothers clothes. It somehow gave me comfort / escapism from a a world that had crumbled around me. For a prepubescent boy the transformation could be quite convincing but as I grew and developed body hair I felt more and more ridiculous. This, coupled with the fact that one day I broke the strap on a pair of my mothers shoes as my feet had got too big, meant that I stopped.
My fantasies didn’t stop though and as I got older I began to buy magazines like Shiny and Sadie Stern and fantasised about dressing up and playing.
In the beginning of the 90’s I moved to Amsterdam from the UK, partly to explore my ‘darker’ side and it didn’t take long before I got into the fetish scene here. The transvestite side remained locked away until I started I relationship with a long term friend of mine who had for the most part of her adult life only had relationships with women, so it came as a surprise to both of us. I don’t really recall how it started but soon I was dressing up again and we were acting out some pretty diverse role playing games. This is when Wanda really came into being.
Like many relationships everyday issues crept in and we parted friends and Wanda went back in the closet. I entered into a relationship where the high heel collection was purely for her, not that I was complaining.
Another break up and a few emotionally bad years and a sense of mortality led me to a decision in September of 2014 to do what I had always wanted to do and embrace this side of my personality and see where it took me.
Body hair was always an issue so this was the first step. Removing it all was quite liberating. (Any time saving tips in this area would be appreciated). Since then it’s been a matter of experimenting with wigs, make up, outfits, photography and lots of shopping with a very long wish list of things, especially high heels.
Its an ongoing creative process but I feel so much more balanced, happy and focused since jumping back into this. I have broad minded friends and receive positive feedback from them.
As Wanda I feel increasingly sexually dominant but it very much depends on the person as this could easily switch. Not really into being dominated by men as this is a role they seem to play in everyday life so it holds no attraction.
