Hello, I've decided to go away for a while. I've met some incredible people here; I only wish we all lived a little closer. Sadly, it didn't work out the way I wanted. I lost a girlfriend. I lost confidence. Oh well. I give up. I will return I'm sure.

I've been here a while now, kinda a tvchix old timer as it were. i am janine, obviously, 36 now sadly, into girly/goth/schoolgirl looks, looking to meet new and interesting people as it were. not into men, but always too polite for my own good and usually free to chat. i am a bit spikey sometimes but don't worry, it's just my warped sense of humour. i'm actually very nice (honest).
What else? hmm....love music, cinema, the surreal and being a big girl. Or a very small sack of potatoes. Never could quite decide.
Music! Love the Smiths, Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, Magnetic Fields, The Shins, Jonathan Richman, Beck, Tropicalia stuff, John Martyn, Fairport, craploads of obscure indie stuff and about a bazillion others - the list would go on and on and we've all got ironing to do so I'll spare you :)
I love film more than perhaps I should, again way too much to mention. Recent likes have been 'Frost/Nixon' which I watched for the third time the other night and still walked away happy, Harold and Maude, Ed Wood, If...., O Lucky Man, Powell and Pressburger stuff, a little nouvelle vague, Michel Gondry films, Pinter adaptations, artsy fartsy stuff and anything good....Kubrick, Lindsay Anderson, Lynch, Godard (hit and miss I admit), Leigh and Loach usually make all the right noises.
Telly...I haven't got one. I only like the news since I weaned myself off 'Eastenders'. Television plays havoc with my 24 hour masturbation regime. I like hour long docus on BBC4 which makes me feel kinda old. Armando Iannucci and Alan Partridge I do admire and I've finally 'got' the Office after working in one for years and hating both.
I do read a lot, mainly biographies of famous fuckups such as Keith Moon and the like. Charlie Brooker's guff is always worth a read and fiction, well, loved David Peace's 'Damned United' but mostly it's the old Penguin blue spines - Nabokov, Fitzgerald, Camus, et al. Most of all Capote, whoe 'Grass Harp' and 'Breakfast At Tiffanys' I find ludicrously eye wetting. I can be a rght old sap as well.
Why do I rifle on about books and films and whatnot on a site like this? It's because I'm here for friends, and talking about make-up and, I dunno, BNO may be fun for the best part of three minutes but there's more to me than a dress with a dick underneath. I'm sorry to be crude, but there it is.
To be honest, the he/she dichotomy with me is pretty much non existent...I am me, same flouncy manner, same rotten roll ups, same hoighty toighty leftist principals. I feel feminine, the clothes feel right, the look is comfortable. I'm pretty happy in my own skin and so should you be. Rejoice!!
What bothers me here? Ah, the 'Top Babe'. Pretty desperate stuff. Hate preening and self congratulating types who are no less freaks than us with their runaway egos. Marking pictures of girls as '1' is pretty sad as well - I mean, what does that say about yourself? In the words of greater men than I, those types can go and merrily fuck themselves (theoretically if not literally). I've disabled my ratings because the whole dirty affair is sad, desperate and disgusting and most of you vote whores are frankly the lowest of the low. I've seen the top 25 and, boy, do you suck. In other words - nice people please, that's all the beauty I need.
I think I'm a nice person. Don't we all? Bit of a sucker for getting out of my head on spirits and soft drugs on a good night. It's a life after a fashion. Always looking to meet exciting t-girls with a sense of humour and some vestige of personality. I am also interested in coming into large sums of money for no work whatsoever.

eyes: two, both browny green
hair: lots, real, bottle black, wig if I'm feeling flighty
build: average but fat average is more honest I guess
oh and i cannot abide bitchiness or aloofness...these are not feminine traits worth imitating girlies.
