Well where to begin ... well first off, a request / plee - if I send you a message, please show me the politeness / respect of replying, even if it's a two word "no thanks". That was I can remove you from my favourites list and not bother you in the future. We all have different things we're looking for so we're not all interested in each other and that's cool.
So, I suppose I should begin at the beginning - well not quite the beginning as you really would get bored of stories of my childhood.
I'm Eloise, in my early 40s. I've known for a long time I'm a woman; but for many years have avoided dealing with it. I was referred to GIC in the past, but the time wasn't right for me and so nothing happened. I recently (Nov 2018) got a new referral and I'm now waiting on the interminable waiting list for my first appointment. I've had ups and downs in my life and trying to deal with my mental health issues slowly but steadily.
As for the physical parts... I'm (still ... this hasn't changed even though I'm writing a new profile) around 5ft7 tall, reasonably feminine looking and once I've done my make-up I do pass quite well (see my photo) though dark facial hair makes me very self concious. I have darkish brown eyes and my hair is medium long (around 1/3 way down my back) naturally dark brown but often dyed purple or red or some other extreme colour. I am around size 10 in skirts with 12/14 in tops. If you passed me on the street I hope you'd just pass by with a quick admiring glance. I mostly tend to dress in casual clothes, liking a slight bohemian, slight gothic kind of look. One of my real loves is for corsetry and hope one day i may be tight laced regularly/daily. I also enjoy fetish clothing especially those made from rubber/latex.
So next ... what am I looking for ... well as I say I'm very shy ... have maybe one foot and one arm out the closet. I have broached the subject with those close to me but wasn't encouraged by their response, however I know this is right for me ... just need a little more courage and confidence to carry on taking my first steps down the long path. So I'm looking for friends, people I can chat with on-line, maybe share emails with. I know I am female but its hard to make any real changes when people around don't support and encourage - its not about being told what to do; its about people saying when things look nice. My daily dress is an androgynous style usually wearing female slacks or jeans and t-shirt or other tops.
My interests are many and varied, I used to be into serious BDSM and visited clubs, etc. but I have done neither for several years now due to changes in my circumstances. I still have those interests just no one to share them with so I'm rather inactive.
Away from sexual matters, I have a wide range of interests: I am a film fan and enjoy a wide range of good (and some bad) movies in various genres - to me an engaging story is important more than whizz bang special effects (though those are fun too). I'm a Wittertainee (if you know what that is, you'll know what that is...) I read quite a lot but do find I am easily distracted and can't read while someone else is watching TV in the same room for example. I also enjoy listening to music - at times while reading or chatting but I also listening more critically. My musical tastes are catholic ranging from classical, through jazz to contemporary artists, especially the more alternative performers though I will listen to pretty much any music at times.
I enjoy cooking and think I'm quite skilled in this area - mostly everyday cooking but when I get the chance enjoy creating more formal dinners. I enjoy the outdoors: walking, etc and I have Nyssa and Adric two lovely labradors.
I am currently unemployed though starting to work on that situation again.
