New red PVC coat has arrived, but my `tame photographer` will not be able to do the pictures I have in my minds eye, since the winter days are slowly getting longer as we move into the New Year, but will have to wait until the autumn of 2012 - since it is an outdoor seasonal shot/s -not able to be captured until then! But I have had some pictures taken indoors, so all`s not lost!

Gran Canaria during Mardi Gras 2012, booked for this years event, last years event went well in May last, with hot-sunny days again... oh boy was the sun hot during mid-day and afternoon, which is why we take a siesta...very good local custom, (boys looked fabulous with their deep tanned and honed bodies)...some of the slimmer lesbian girls looked OK as well... while some of the Drag Artists with their `outfits` looked every inch the true Artist they are!
Now need some more new dresses for next vist! soon be time to pack the case and fly soon!

New Year 2012 - where oh where do the weeks go - social diary planning under way to include another holiday schedule in warmer climbes - warm summer-holidays need some new strappy summer dresses - again - to wear while away - once more!
I`m now a 50s something lady, still very young at heart, non smoker, enjoy good food, wine, and listening to you in good conversation/s! Blue eyes, dress in a classic-lady style and manner; including high-class perfume - French of course When in private, such occassions allow delicious pleasures; allowing me to be a little less than the `public lady`, which I much enjoy!
Enjoy photography, travel, railways, social history, UK Travel, Good music - classical as well as middle of the road popular. Brief blog...for those interested in reportable events & happenings -
BUT ONLY READ IF YOU WISH!
Well it`s another New Year 2012 so booked early holiday event for Mardi Gra in warmer climbes, so there`s something definate to look forward to, and plan for. Hoping to get a little shopping in soon, not but we will shop in hope this coming week.
January 2012, I spent a whole shopping day with my best friend, obviously dressed of course! We did many of our popular shops in Central Manchester, including some of the better ladies shops - one of which is closing and relocating, signs of the times I`m afriad. Then coffee after heading onto Trafford Centre, where we walked the length of the Malls - upstairs as well as ground level. Not wanting the sales items persa...but was a nibble regarding something special that caught my eye. Dinner later, and then home before 10pm - after a long but enjoyable day. Everything was tired after such a long day.
New month February 2012 and again it`s time to shop to see what new designs have arrived and catch my eye. Cold weather is pushing the `shopping trip` back further and further, since it`s been so cold outdoors. Dine in Canal Street, try the newly refurbished Velvet Restaurant perhaps, before we do a couple of bars , before we move and gravitate to Naps..as our final watering hole of the evening. Middle of the month and decided to head for the Fylde coast and do a spot of lingerie buying, after there was a sale at my favourite lingerie shop...so prize is more lingerie for one`s buck...as the Americans say. Lovely Ivory and Black and purple matched underwear stock purchases at less than half price. Good night with Ren girl friends and retired at 1`am after great evening with chatiing going on in couple of small interactive group.
Sunny March 2012 and once more we headed to `shopping city` - Manchester - where a 50% off sale in M&S City Centre did make matter manic...they are also having a store refurbishment, so not the usual space or changing-room numbers...but the quese for trying cloths on were rather long. So, having looked and bought we moved on, for my friend to purchase an antique ring and then we bought some footwear for holidays ahead...then to Trafford Centre where once more we walked the malls and tried on numerous tops before a couple of purchases were made and then sit-down and coffee was necessary therapy...then into City Centre once more for dinner...which we managed to complete by 8pm so then we headed home and back by 9:30...so another thirteen and half hour day from gate to gate...knackered..sleep needed, then felt better...now it`s shopping again for food this time...not much monthly `dress allowance left this month already!` Twelve months ago last March we had a lunchtime snack and drinks in our favourite Tapas Bar off Deansgate, before heading for the Fylde Coast where we had an appointment for a palm reading - good fun! Then later we decided to catch up with friends and grab a glass of wine before we headed for dinner. Then it was very quiet, the `recession` seems to be catching up with business, although weekends are now imrpoving from a very low-level that they had dropped to after New Year. Flying Handbag was also quiet before we departed headed north, arriving just after 10:30 so we had been out and about for over thirteen hours and a great mileage to boot.
April 2012 weather is again that early Spring weather than can be heaven or hell...as with the hail stones that seem to get bigger year on year. Some serious last minute retail theropy needed, so date in diary and we will see what Manchetser`s finest emporiums offer this next week, since it`s but three weeks before we head for the airport and the "big-bird in th sky"...but loads of things to do before that comes around. Managed dinner in `the street` and home by 9pm...so another long day of retail theropy...and so to bed as the best novels used to say...must start to read em again!
So, now`s the time to get the case down and sort out what I`m taking to Mardi Gra in Gran Canaria, Then there`s the beautican to see for all those needed attentions that make for the `perfect lady` before we head for the airport and fly!
Now getting all those bits and pieces together ready to fill me case. You will ahve to await my return from hols for further report of this years adventure...hope the weather is OK and we have an enjoyable time...more later.
May 2011 flight good to the sunny Cannaries, weather superb - as usual...hot..,hot...hot Mardi Gras once more GREAT, Guiness Book of Records new record created - once more in May 2011 - was established for the most Drag Queens in one place, while at Mardi Gra in Gran Canaria!
Great time had, with strappy summer dresses being worn each and every day, Good trip to Mogan on the bus, despite it being Market Day, but we still shopped for a bargin, as well as coffee and then a light lunch before once more experiencing the `formula one` drive back on the bus...well with `tight roads` and but a single `armco barrier` to stop any vehicle dropping 100-200 feet to the sea below it seemed to flash by just like the fast formula one cars do we all see on the TV. Then all too soon it`s over, alas, so now but a fleeting memory...but some new interesting contacts made in 2011 - we saw some friends at a distance who are members here and chatted with one who was in the Parade. I retured home - but my credit card has been very warm while away there. I bet it has almost `melted` more than once - but the experience is beyond pirce - do try it?.
June 2011 amd into Canal Street for dinner on my own, as I was travelling and did not fancy cooking, so decided to `spoil myself` Enjoyed the muscles and grilled fish, followed by a `naughty` chocolate comport` that`s almost as good as sex...well... almost! Then arranged to meet with dear friends where we spent time chatting such as within no time a couple of hours had flown by. Home, after a little `local diversions due to road-works, safe and sound. Some shopping planned for middle/latter part of the month, before the children break for the holidays, so might see you around as I shop and dine.
Shopping over the weeked of 18-19th and got a super pair of peep-toe strappy three inch heeled shoes, very comfortable they are as well. Then to Canal Street for glass of wine beofre heading home in the sun-shine, makes a difference from the darkness of the night which is more often the case in the early hours.
But four days later; again in the tranny capital of the north for more shopping with my dear friend...too much spent reallly...but they were a bargin...in the sale and with an additional 20% more off...so treated myself. Dined later in Canal Street, after looking at the shops in the Trafford Centre...but `saved money` since nothing that screamed `buy me` this time! Late June and again we shopped in the Centre and Trafford Centre, some more shops closed-down and few new ones relocated or openned. Bought some items in the sale with furtheer 20% off then had early dinner in Canal Street before heading north to my friends for weekend party. Great South Lakes party on Saturday; when two `new girls` were encouraged to come and share our dressing habits - enjoyed themselves so much it was 01:30 before they started to depart, having experienced a great time and much chat - I`m say they will be back.
July 2011 - Sparkle came and went, now seems ages ago. Weather was good to us for the weekend, although Friday night was a typical wet Manchester with heavy rain that needed that brolly to keep it off us as we walked Canal Street from our restaurant to Naps...then to hotel and sleep...well trying...strange bed caused lack of usual good sustainable rest. Saturday was sunny, great park show met many girls I know or know-me and chatted over a drink in Canal Street, before brief rest and then changed into the finery before we dined later.
Late July 2011, I head to North Lanashire for a meeting with a young lady for some photographs for my forth coming article in one of the better TV magazines due to appear in the October edition. Thereafter it`s a trip to Blackpool for the Renaissance group for further picture shots and some retail theropy perhaps - that did materialise. Weather was hot and sunny so took a sandwich lunch sitting on the front outside North Pier, but sun just too hot, so did not stop too long - otherwise like dear friends would have had too much sun, I would have been peeling subsequently...best avoided I feel, when your fair like me! New seasons fashions stocks are due within the next few weeks, so may need to agree a date when we can see what`s about before we yet again dine before returning home.
Well, I suspect that with new 2011 season cloths due in the shops about now I shall share mutual `retail theropy` again with my friend just as we did in 2010 when we shoped in Manchester during August 2010, many children were about with parents, as one expects at this time of year, but we shopped none the less. Weather was mixed, but it passed-over before we exited the venue where we were shopping. Then dined in Villiaggio, nice meal, before my friend headed home to the Lake District, while I saw friends, that resulted in me ending up in Napoleons with a dear friend I had not seen out for over twelve months. So, it will no doubt be another enjoyable day, but then I did not get to bed until late! Further visit to Renassiance later this month with shopping again...hope the weather is kind, warm and sunny...but it is school holiday weather time, so we shall see? Manchester Pride over the Bank Holiday weekend, so perhaps shopping day may need a deviation to see how `The Street` looks pre-pride...we shall see!
Well, September 2011 and it`s time to shop once more - new seasons range now in-store so need to look and try on Yes, the weather, is windy and rain...something about Manchester being the Cotton Capital...after all it needs a damp atmosphere to spin cotton...they say! But wet weather not to my liking as damp hair and cloths leave me `cold` in all senes of the word.
Now it`s time to grace the North West and see the `lights` in Blackpool for a meet with the girls for a `themed night` that sounds real fun - more later - perhaps, or perhaps not...we shall see. Month rushing away again, keep wondering if the time machine has been wound up once more and running at express pace! Weather turned out `rough` with wind driving in from the Irish Sea, even getting out of the car, crfossing the road and awaiting entry to my little hotel the hair was `wind-swept` to say the least. While many girls decided to brave the weather and a new club that welcomes TV`s - second Tuesday of the month - I decided to try another glass or two off wine before going to bed. Good company and good night to boot...now to shop once more!
Gran Canaria was sunny in October last year - 26 to 32degrees each day - so biggest decission was what to wear to keep cool - the next late-season holiday looks as though it will be 2012 after circumstance prevents us from getting away late this year, as we usually do - but family obligations must come first! Alas not able to visit with my friend this year and supplement for single room useage was `rather heavy` so alas looking at next year`s Pride parade - watch this space for details next year?
Late October, and it`s time to party at a Halloween party in Blackpool, before having a PVC Coat photo-shoot and then to the Lakes for meeting with my friend. Out in medium hotel in Barrow dining in comfort and another venue added to those we know are friendly, although the rain was heavy we enjoyed a social evening before I returned home the following day.
November 2011 has arrived and it does not seem twelve months since we dined with my London TV Dining Group, and now it`s time to book our Christmas bash, so no doubt we will see you all around, perhaps - do hope so - say hello?

We needed to shop early for the 2011 Christmas party-lines, so we did the the regular shops on the 5th, but once more decided many items were not of the `right` matieral - looked OK but felt awful, so did not buy. Then it was to Canal Street for a fine dinner, followed by travelling to Blackpool for Christmas meal with forty plus girls in a sea-front hotel. Then suffered from the stormy weather hereabouts and back home safe and sound for a good sleep in my own bed - mattress is softer and to my liking so sound sleep.
End month and once more we shopped in Manchester early December, Well, weather was cold and damp and even wetter later, so we started early at the Trafford Centre, then into Central Manchester to try on new dresses, shoes etc., and then after two had make-over for young person who was with us and needed the expopsure to the colours that were right for her so we headed back to the Trafford Centre to undertake make-over and finish of our shopping. Then it was time for dinner before heading north on the Motorway system. Blackpool reached in just over the hour before the bar closed -long day
The London TV ladies dining club - now into its fourth great year, since we started this wonderful gathering. It`s for `girls` only, so no admirers at present. You do not need to attend every meeting, just to dress fully and be able to feel cool calm and collected - well we all start with the collywobbles when we start - when dining en-fem. Christmas dinner`s prove superb gatherings, this year we should be eight or more - with regard to the company, food, and wine before topping it of with our usual visit to Naps, for further good conversations and dancing for those inclined.
This year we will be without one of our dear members - Ruth - who alas has `gone to the big TV dining club up above in the sky` but she will be remembered for her support, cheerfullness and dedication...gone perhaps, but certainly not forgotten!
