The Queens Hotel Ambleside B & B subsidised by the CVS for specifically getting people of a certain age out and about. We had three girls from last year having other less taxing prior commitments but those replaced by three newbies from Durham, Leeds and Scotland. Walks on Friday[2] , Saturday [1 due to weather restrictions], Sunday [1 weather restrictions]. Saturday Lee Wicks and Joan went cruising as planned but with the necessity of recurring knee probs brought on by the Friday session led by Racheal and attended by Michelle [Barrow] who came along for the walk on that day.
We had two comedians on board this year our oldest attendee [Katie] who says she has been told she looks 90-[although at least 10 years younger than that] and our fellow pre Roman attendee and Briton from Scotland recounted her youth before understanding her true inner self. I laughed so much at times with these two I thought I might die.
Brilliant debate much of it to highbrow for me but the very interesting discussion around the feminisation of our earlier selfs need to be tough for work to pay for our family, which now manifests itself in being very much more outwardly emotional and vulnerable.
I now have to complete the return on the weekend for CVS showing all about advertising and why others came to attend in addition to Cumbria people.
So picture to follow and the website over the coming week to have suitable walk updates cw pictures. Good to see that one attendee saw the advertising months ago through the website when looking for trans walks from Durham.
Attendees: Racheal and Pipit, Pauline, Erica and wife Linda, Katie, Louisa, Steph, Sandra, Lee and me plus Michelle for the Friday walk.

On the 2nd Tuesday in February about six of us met up again at The Drawing Rooms in Barrow town centre. There’s a good deal on cocktails till 9pm, so some members took full advantage of this. As in January, the pub closed early, so we headed off to Ulverston for a last drink and a folk session at The Hope & Anchor. Pipit
