LGBT night at The Galleon (Saturday, November 26, 2016)

It was the day after Balck Friday and also the evening after many local Christmas Lights switch on festivities so this had an impact on the attendance and naturally the overall atmosphere with 1 Lesbian, 3 T-girls, 4 gay men and a couple of others only present for some or all of the night.

Another good night, plenty of fab music, glad the regular DJ was back on full form.

Good to see the 'T' scene well represented, could do with a few more new faces though.

A good night with most of the lesbian fraternity truning up in the onesies, of the 4 T-Girls I was the only one in pyjamas which was a little dissapointing but one said it was too cold for nightwear and and another doesn't possess nightwear (how rude is that)

Wow, what a night plenty of 80's music as that was the basic theme and plenty of appropriate costumes with me as Marlene Boyce, a Cher and a Debbie Harry together with some other outfits too.

The fire breather arrived and everyone watched his act, this is now getting a little tired as no one applauded him for his efforts.

A good mix of the L's & G's and possibly B's, but as usual the T's could be counted on one hand.

The monthly gathering of some of the community by the canal took place on a warm evening so much so that most spent the evening outside on the patio only coming in for drinks from the bar.

The theme this was 'Summer Splash' and attendees were once again invited to turn up in beachwear, only 2 of us T-girls did and for our efforts were rewared witha bottle of Lambrini each.

Could stil do with some new faces attending especially from the 'T' sector of LGBT.

As usual the night lived up to it's expectations, this time the theme was 'beachwear'.

The dance floor was decked out accordingly with a few 'beach' toys and particioants were encouraged to dress accordingly, naturally I wore a full swimsuit whilst others either wore standard casual clothing or hawiian style beach wear. One of the organisers was a lifeguard.

A very nice surprise for me later on was a chocolate gatueax cake with candles being produced for my birthday.

This was the 2nd of the series of themed nights and WOW what a belter. The theme was 'Rocky Horror Show' so all attendees were hopefully coming in appropriate attire, I did my bit with some eleborate make up in the eyes, whilst some others went for something different inc a bandaged wrapped 'Brad'.

There was the usual fire breather act to entertain and for something different a screening of the said film projected on to the venue wall.

I'm glad to report that there were 5 T girl's in attendance this time making the 'T' in LGBT more visible.

Next up at end of June is Beachwear, see events pages for more details.

Another good night and the first with a theme to it, this time it was Disco Inferno with loads of tunes form the 70's & *0's as well as modern day boom boom.

Shame there was only 2 other T-Girls in attendance though, I put in a lot of work in ensuring that the 'T' was added to 'LGB' here as originally it was advertised a a 'gay night' now it's advertised as LGBT night.

Next one at end of May has a 'Rocky Horror' theme and limited membership may be avilable on the door for £5.00 per year, for full details consult the pub website. http://www.thegalleonmk.com/

This was the 2nd one of these that I had been to, due to work and family constraints was only able to be there for 2 hours and was upset to see only one other T-girl there all the rest were LG&B. A good mix of party and pop tunes to dance to and a fire breather to entertain the masses on such a cold night.

In order to balance out to attendees there needs to be more from the 'T' community in attendance otherwise the work I put in in getting the venue more 'T' friendly as it was originally advertised as a 'gay' and not an 'LGBT' night will have gone to waste !!!!!!!

My first time at this event (it was only the 2nd one). A good night with plenty of variety in the music from golden oldies to party to modern day boom boom, music got a bit too loud around 11h30pm which wasn't needed given the confines of the venue. Outdoor toilet needs attention with no drier and an extra effort opening the door also the settee needs to be replaced before someone lands on the floor, had that sinking feeling. Good crowd and well supported by the LGB crowd, shame the T's and supportive partners were lacking in attendance

Unforetunately I didn't get there but have seen other pics of the event, so would be unfair to review and apologies for the low ratings, I couldn't post this WITHOUT clicking on the review stars
