What is R-Trans?
R-Trans is Reading's only social and support group for like-minded people who identify under the trans umbrella. This meeting is primarily aimed at those people on a transition pathway (considering, still on, or on the other side of), and their supportive partners and allies. If this doesn't include you, please loot at Support U's other meeting (on the Third Thursday of every month) which covers the wider trans spectrum as well.
Where do R-Trans meet-ups take place?
R-Trans meetings take place in a safe and secure location at Support U's LGBT health and well-being centre, located at 15 Castle Street in Reading.
When do R-Trans meetings happen?
Meetings take place on the 2nd Saturday of every month.
I wish to keep my identity a secret, is that a problem?
Your privacy is of utmost importance. Our support group is based on mutual understanding and respect. If you wish to use an alternative or more suitable name, you're welcome to. We never disclose the details of attendees of our groups, or post any online content without explicit prior permission.
Are there any facilities provided?
Free tea, coffee and biscuits are available throughout the meeting.
Do you offer a secure changing area?
We can offer changing facilities, please let us know when you arrive.
Are there any rules?
We wish all visitors to feel comfortable in themselves, we would expect our visitors to respect the views of other people within the group at all times.

Are there any charges?
Our support groups are completely free. If you wish to donate to the running cost of the event, you're welcome to make a small donation at one of the donation pots available across the centre.
