A great, friendly event for socialising and getting support. Event is free (donations are encouraged). There is often home-cooked snacks (these can go quickly!). A private venue set in about 2 acres of garden. Excellent security and totally private.

Great social evening, met a few old friends and made some new friends. The time seemed to fly by. The organisers work really hard to make it work with sandwiches, cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks as well as organising a guest speaker. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. It is well locate but can be a bit difficult to find in the dark. Make sure you go to the far end of the car park opposite the village hall.

I may be biased as I help run the Surrey Transgender Support Group, but I am going to say this group is going from strength to strength. Numbers go up with every event. There was a wonderful sound of conversation to be heard. Some very nervous first-time out trans-females attended and left having loved their time out. We also had some lovely husband-wife couples attend. A very relaxed, very friendly environment; a great social event.

This was our third meeting and the last one for 2019. Fabulous home cooked food many thanks to Alison for that Numbers have grown steadily with a solid core already. We have had so much support and guidance from the management at the Therapy gardens we could not have been so successful without them. This is also why we feel so confident about developing next year and we have some ambitious plans.Richard keeps telling me we need to walk before we can run and good he’s there to keep me grounded. However watch this space. I want to thank everyone involved and everyone who has made a contribution and the effort to attend already and that we are looking forward to more joining in next year. This event is a new support group. Numbers are increasing at every meeting and include a mix of CIS females and males and transgender females. The primary focus is support, but it's also a great social event. There are home-made nibbles and tea and coffee. There's a discussion - but it voluntary if you don't want to contribute or take part. The venue is in a secure gated venue with exclusive use of STS. It's a very friendly and welcoming group; it's ideal if you are starting on a transgender journey or know someone who is. It's also a great place to ask questions and just be yourself. Event is free, but voluntary donations are welcome. |

A great venue well run, a small gathering but its nice to be part of something new I can see great things will come from this group as everyone is so nice so its up those who live near there to go along to support it .So a big thank you to Lexi Richard and Alison

This is a really nice new event with a great mix of people. The location is discreet so ideal for those in the early stages of their journey. There is a good mix of support, listening, understanding along with good general social interaction. The organizers have found a great location and put on really nice food/drink too. A relaxed, interesting, fun and helpful evening - thank you everyone. Xxx

Surrey Transgender Support group is a new monthly group; it is to support and offer friendship for the transgender community and friends and family. It is a small event but welcoming. There is homemade light refreshments. You can come in whatever mode you like (male/female, etc.). There is a discussion time: you don't need to contribute or take part; you can just sit and listen or even do something else. There is a room(s) to change if you like to. It is a secure gated community (entrance via buzzer), main building 9with large meeting area), large gardens (which will be great in the summer) and a summer house. It is definitely recommended for making friends and seeking support. |

Could not have gone any better for a first meeting very relaxed atmosphere with good conversation and lots of laughter. Delicious cakes and pastries and unlimited tea and coffee So much potential to develop the event with a mid week evening meeting also possible. A lovely inaugural evening for this event, providing a much-needed lifeline for us local girls It’s in a quiet and relaxed location (although we can create a little noise of our own), with a few rooms and a garden and it’s discreet if you’re still a little shy - but we can all help each other get out of our shells. And the staff are lovely people too. Looking forward to the coming months and meeting lots of new friends - if you live near Guildford, Farnborough, Woking etc, why not give it a try? |
