Taking the steps I should have taken years ago, waiting for the shoes to do it properly. The first steps into the public world dressed up rather than behind closed doors. It's a big step that I've never quite made before, but now is the time.

Out for my first time in public, early evening drive down to a country park, then slip the boots back on and wander round in the twilight, heart pounding at the occasional dog walker I think I'd just about managed to get my breathing back to normal by the time I was back to the car..
have to dress up more soon and get a full on made up photography session for here, but this picture will always mark the day when the chrysalis started to open.
