Absolutely lovely set of people coming to these events - however 2 to 3 people's behaviour had attracted the attention of the regulars.

Atmosphere was great - wish I had dressed - lovely people apart from a small strange group of older people who looked really out of place in a nice place and kind of let the trans image down. They almost put me off from going in - glad I walked through to the lively part!

A good night at the Golden even tho numbers were well down. Got shunned by the munsters but hey ho got to take the rough with the smooth. Still met some friends and welcomed a nice couple new to the area and you know what they DIDN'T want to have sex with me in the toilets. isnt that sweet. Later we went up the road to see a live band and the munsters were there as well even tho they were not invited. 'herman' then put on a show which amazed and astounded the crowned heads of europe but also disgusted the owner and his parent's. It also tarnished the image of transgender folk in public no end. Way to go herman! Quite what he hoped to achieve by that I don't know. Do these people have no shame? he and his friends are now marked men for sure. please anyone considering coming here who is NOT just looking for sex come along. there WILL be decent folk to welcome you, chat, dance, share a drink and let you feel like a person on a night out with friends whatever gender you wish to present in. those who are looking for sexual encounters do us all a favour and go somewhere else. |

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS NIGHT IN BOTH VENUES. GOLDEN GIRLS IS A TWO PART NIGHT. WE ARE AMBASSADORS OF TRANSGENDER, TRANSVESTITES and ANYONE WHO DRESSES IN THE OPPOSITE GENDER OF THEIR BIRTH ALL ENJOYING OURSELVES WITH THE PUBLIC AS EQUALS. THE FIRST PART OF THE NIGHT WE OCCUPIED THE COCKTAIL BAR OF THE GOLDEN CROSS AND WERE IN EASY REACH OF THE DANCE FLOOR WHENEVER WE FELT LIKE DANCING. THERE WERE FREE SHOTS FOR ALL OF US. THIS THE FIRST TIME THE GOLDEN HAS TREATED US! THEN WE WENT TO OUR SECOND VENUE JUST 2 MINS AWAY FOR LIVE MUSIC TO DANCE TO, WITH A FABULOUS BAR OF THE MOST AMAZING SELECTION OF DRINKS! BOTH LOCATIONS ARE FREE ENTRY!!!! NB: anyone expecting sex needs to get a room!

a strange night it seems there are 2 factions now in the cross and u have to be in one or the other . im not realy into that so will take time to think about what is going on . from a personal point i think all we girls should stick together and try to impress theregular peps out there by being kind and understanding . as for the pub music was crap again and have the feeling managment are not to keen on we girls being there . its just my little opinion which i belive i have a right to . without being told im wrong lucy

Another Christmas cracker of a golden girls. Some newbies which was cool and lots of dancing in a busy bar. We girls congregated in the new cocktail bar area which was nice cos we were free to mingle as well and we did. not as many girls there as other night's but these things ebb and flow. those that came had a good time so must be doing something right. Later on some of us went up the road to another safe venue 'normal' straight venue where we need to be on our best behaviour to dance with ordinary folk to a live band and a splendid time was had by those who made it. Ah well that's the last one for 2016 roll on 2017!

What a fabulous night, the Golden played A lot of our requests early on in the night. Then onto our second venue with a live band which people loved. So you got two lovely atmospheric places in one night and both FREE. The night more than SPARKLED, and its FREE FREE FREE. NB: This is an out in public event in safe places, people who think that they are coming here to partake in sex, get a room! We are in public! Those that have attempted this are not appreciated by 99% of us who are having a legitimate fun time in public. It gives a bad impression to other customers, and makes us look like perves, which is the opposite impression that we want to give. Yes you do meet people, like you do in any club - but in any club/pub you do it away from the club in a private place.!!! I am definitely not against sex, as long as its private its fine

A splendid night of golden girls as ever. Horrid cold wet windy night but warm and welcoming inside. lots of folk there apres rugby but lots of good dance music and dancing. And to think this time last year we had all but lost this lovely welcoming venue! thankfully it's future is looking a lot brighter and with events like these it will just run and run.

A lively night (except for the rain !!), most of us went on to enjoy a prospective new venue just down the road with a live band where the girls got on the dance floor (AGAIN !) & were joined by lots of others who were fascinated with the 'different' dance partners..... I think they made a great impression ! Well done Gaynor. |

I'm a regular at Golden Girls events (plus other happenings at the Golden Cross pub!!). It's always a welcoming and fun place; good for newbies who haven't been out en femme before. You can chat with friends in the front bar and also dance to varied music and/or acts in the other room :-)
