Im in danger of repeating myself yet again, but the Birdcage is always a great place to be, especially when meeting up with friends.... We seem to average around 8 girls on a Wednesday, and way more than we could ever muster up at the Scene.... The other week we had an amazing 26 turn up. The fact thats its just a really friendly bistro pub with friendly staff and chatty customers, serving up good food and real ale is a plus... People worry about the area but honestly its okay. I park my right outside and have never had a single issue, nor heard of any. Internally it is well maintained and decorated, and a completely turned around place compared to what it used to be a few years ago. They have quiz nights, band nights, spoken word nights, and even the occasional night when we just sit and chat over a meal .... So if you've never been in, or not since the old days, please do give it a try. "You will be pleasantly surprised" |

"The Birdcage" Our new meeting place ... A friendly venue nicely decorated with lovely staff and customers... A selection of beers are available, also good food cooked to order. Very accepting and a credit to its owners... Plenty of places to park near by, and after 6pm there is "No problem" on single yellows or resident bays.. Comes highly recommended
