Another fab night at The Crown, met some people I hadn't met before and as usual everyone made me feel so very welcome.

Having only recently started going out and about dressed I was looking for me opportunities when I saw the Derby meets at The Crown. I have a real fear of walking into pubs I haven't been to before and it's worse when I dint know anyone who will be there. This is the same for me in male mode and dressed., so plucking up all my courage I headed up to Derby rather later than planned, arriving at 10pm and parked just round the corner from the crown. It's free after 8pm. I tottered past The Crown in my heels and thankfully saw through the window a small group of girls gathered round a table, so in I went, introduced myself, grabbed a drink from the bar and joined then for a natter. I was made to feel very welcome (Thank you) and before I knew it midnight arrived and it was home time. I will certainly be going back and would recommend this venue and event to anyone wanting to venture out dressed. The area had lots of free parking, is well lit and there are various bars, restaurants & shops in the vicinity so I felt safe walking down the street. |

First time with this group although the venue is well known to me. Had a lovely night and met some people I've known for a while, and some that were new to me.

Nice friendly place to meet, excellent bar staff and just a great place for us girls and friends to meet for a good 'ol natter
