Another cracking night at the golden. No vulgar drag act this time but a fab drag singer who got us all dancing with her bouncy tunes. Then just after 11pm it was non stop music with fab dance tracks and the joint was jumping people dancing their little hearts out until very late. Plenty of social time as well for those of a less athletic disposition so something for everyone. more please. oh yes there is in a months time. Make a date and put yer name down. it's going to be good with the return of the Golden girls or maybe that's the golden sisters? |

Great place to meet up with people you may have only ever chatted to before ...safe, friendly and great for those first timers who may be a little nervous about getting out in the world ...you will wonder why you left it so long to do it ...:D :D

Many thanks to Gaynor for giving me a lift there and back, I have been putting off attending this venue for no real reason except maybe shyness. I am so glad I did attend on this occasion, everyone so friendly and the atmosphere absolutely electric. Had a fabulous time right up to last orders. Thank you again Gaynor and The Golden Cross. |

This was my second time to go to the Cross, (first time was the previous event, two weeks earlier). Just as before, there was the usual warm welcome from everyone there the moment you walk in through the door. There's a lovely, happy and carefree atmosphere there, allowing us girls to relax, mix, and be ourselves, free to socialise and dance to our hearts content. I met some new friends again tonight, in particular two gorgeous, fun tgirls, Barbara and Sara, who insisted I joined them, and got me dancing with them as soon as the music came on. They introduced me to their bf's, and made me feel totally at home. Wonderful people! I love the place, and all the girls who attend. In particular, I'd like to say 'thankyou so much' to Gaynor, the girl who organises, runs, and works hard to keep this event going - without her, we'd have nothing, and once again be hidden away at home, alone, with no friends and no sense of community... Gaynor, your efforts are really appreciated; thanks again xxx. There! It had to be said :) ..... .....and now I'll wind up my slightly rambling review, (after all, why use ten words to say something when you can say it in 500). Read on, ladies!..... Only too soon, the time came for the Cross to close and the magic of Golden Girls was sadly all over for another two weeks..... :( .....but we will be back! For the next Golden Girls night of wonder, freedom, sisterly friendship and love :) YAY!!!! My last words: To any girls out there, reading this, who have never been to Golden Girls - please, please come and join us? If you're shy, you can change on the premises, and then you can enjoy the wonderful pleasure of being the girl you want to be, in a safe, secure place, and among friends. Another great night at the golden. Good turn out and cabaret. singer was fab and the drag queen tho they started late and went on a bit. So much so the golden girls were after midnight and that's when the dancing got going. Sadly some of the girls had given up and gone by then. That's a shame because it's always fun and friendly. plans are afoot to improve that so don't give up on this lovely safe trans friendly place. It's still a great event to take your first steps out as a girl though it's easy for more experienced trans folk to forget how daunting those first steps can be.

Coming up next month its HOSPITALITY in HOSPITAL. Nursing special, free examination By Dr Feelgood for those who dress up in anything to do with hospitals. Nurses Doctors Patients, Porters Receptionists, Paramedics, Security and Morticians. Anything with blood on is good! There will be dancing which we aim to get started far earlier than has been possible.

Sorry I have not got back sooner,I must say I had a great time at the golden cross on Friday the 29th but I always do,it is a great place,the people are great and really friendly to use girls,you get to meet your friends and make new ones as well,it was great to see lots of tgirls there and lots of new faces witch is great,the golden cross is the hub for use girls to go to,every one makes you fell very welcome,and they all give you the confidence to go ,to other places in Cardiff witch is great,and I thank you all very much,life is to short not to enjoye yourself and above all be happy in what you do with it,make the most of it ,we are only here for a short time,once again I thank you all it's truly been the best ever for me to meet such lovely girls,Kelly xxx
