Another great night with 43 people attending . This group is open to all trans people from closet CD's to post op TS's genuine partners or family of any gender are welcome to attend with you though the group isn't open to admirers . It doesn't matter what you look like as it's not a fashion show & you can turn up in drab or dressed . All we ask is you dress respectably as this isn't a fetish group . Everyone will be made welcome and treated equally . I'm very proud of what this group has achieved in the last 3 years since we started it . But we can't take all the credit as without all the wonderful people who have turned up and supported us this group wouldn't be what it is today . Which is one of the biggest and most successful regular support group meetings in the country . So a big thank you to all you have made it what it is today . |

cant get over how popu;lar drab has become regularly seeing 40 + people each meeting - some regulars some as and when and then then new people who travel from far and wide- amazing way to expand your social circle x

It really makes me proud to see how this group has grown since it was 1st started over two and a half years ago after a discussion round my house with Heather Liz & me after Heather popped round we I was helping Liz with her makeup & we decided there was a need for a safe venue where people could meet and support each other . Since then we have grown into a group with 46 people at our last meeting . Me and Heather have been co-running this group right from the start and still do but now others help out when they can also . And I would also like to thank all the people who have attended this group and made it the success it is today . Some have traveled quite a distance to attend this group with people regularly traveling from Sussex , Surrey 'London , Essex & of course Kent . But also those who have traveled much further including Yorkshire , Newcastle & even Germany just to attend this support group . Without all of you this group would not be what it is so thank you all very much . Abbie :) |

Went to my first night of this and have to say I could not recommend this support group and evening enough! Heather, the GG who runs it was so friendly as was everyone there. A wonderful place for first time people to meet others. There were quite a few people in drab so you would not be out of place. I changed there and the facilities were great including mirrors for make up. Nice large car park too and the hall is actually in the car park so no distance to walk. Do come along,it's a very friendly group!

absolutely amazing night - seems to get better every time i go - more new faces and more regular ones too- people from all over the county and further afield bets place to make friends face to face and gain that bit of confidence it ok to be the way you are with support from others that understand

This was the firs time ever that I had been out dressed and when I arrived at the car park I was very nervous about walking in as I was alone but within seconds of parking two people attending the same event had seen my predicament and came over to the car to see if I was ok and offered to walk in with me. Even though I new nobody at the event I was made very welcome by everybody and within minutes of arriving felt reasonably comfortable considering the circumstances. Everybody that I spoke to was very welcoming and friendly and willing to talk openly about just about anything at all which I found very reassuring and helpful. I would recommend the event to anyone who feels at all in need of any form of support or would simply like somewhere to meet and chat with like minded people in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. At the end of the evening another two people insisted on walking me back to my car to be sure that I was ok. I will certainly attend again in the future. Thank you to all at the event I had a great time. |
