This was my second visit. SKIP THIS PARAGRAPH if you don't want to read about previous event when I first visited. It was on Sunday 24th April, I didn't know then what to expect. It was lovely and relaxed, though I'm clumsy in social situations (as I'm autistic). I sat next to Andrea who's in charge, and she's a really lovely person. You wouldn't easily guess that she's in charge, from how relaxed it all is. I've hardly spoken to anyone, almost not at all to others than the two sitting next to me. I had to leave early, and felt quite sad at the thought of leaving and not seeing the girls for the foreseeable. This visit I felt a lot more confident. I spoke to most girls, Andrea is quite cheeky. Everyone was lovely. We talked about anything and everything, just an ordinary social gathering. I still felt like an outsider, they mostly knew each other, but they reassured me it was the same with them first few times. I didn't want it to be over, I stayed right till the end. Both times there were 10 of us, so each time we were in 3 teams of 3 for the quiz. It was quite a laugh. |
