This was my second gettogether in this wine bar before decamping to the Rivoli literally just across the road. The wine served in here is superb, quite the best I have tasted in a wine bar. The staff are very friendly and the company was good. The owner is very knowledgeable about wine production and his description of the manufacturing of many supermarket wines was both illuminating and hair raising. And there was me thinking I had the 'touch'! A great evening in great company with friendly locals. |

The Lady herself hosted another get-together/warm-up in the Mr Lawrence Bar across the road from the Rivoli. On this occasion, I arrived a little later than usual, so I missed most of the other girls and guys who normally pop in before the main event. Many people it seems, migrate to the Rivoli shortly after 8pm. |

This was a great idea – thanks Lady Hay! Great to have a chance to chat to new friends before the main event. I got a bit confused about the wine bar/restaurant next door thing but I'm a bear of little brain.

I attended Lady Hays Get Together on Saturday, at the Mr Lawrence wine bar. The surroundings are most pleasant and the Lady herself is friendly and welcoming. She has a knack for putting people at their ease very quickly. Numerous exotically dressed characters entered the bar, no doubt trying to get a drink or two before going across the road to The Magic Theatre. Those who were slightly peckish, were able to order a pint of chips - the wine bar has an arrangement with the restaurant next door! All in all a great place, and well worth some return visits. |

This was my idea to enable me and like minded girls to meet up before Magic Theatre in Mr Lawrence Wine Bar opposite the Rivoli. By 7:30pm I was among some friends and we all had a good time before decamping to the Rivoli for the party. It was heart warming to see and speak to so many new friends and have excellent wine and chat before MT itself. I will do this again. I think it pays to be warmed through before going into the Rivoli. |
