Brilliant night as always. Great to meet up with old friends and make some news ones too - hello to Sammy Long Legs xx The band was new and a real treat, Claire was stunning in her Ring Mistress outfit and the compere a scream, even if I didn't win a dancing prize. Thanks to everyone involved in making Magic Theatre such a wonderful event, we're already gagging for the next one!! |

Wow what a venue, the Rivoili Ballroom has so much atmosphere and history, the stage is so pretty. Had a great time again, made some new friends, as its such a relaxed night. The entertainment was a great DJ set and camp compare, and the interesting Topshelf Band! Spent the whole night dancing and having a great time. What you waiting for see you there next time...x |

As I put on my profile page, the Magic Theatre never dissapoints, and once again came up trumps... Being on the Saturday before my birthday my friend Stacey had arranged for us to have a reserved table and to my supprise when we arrived it was festooned in baloons and streamers!! The numbers of those attending were not as high as normal - maybe due to the relatively short notice given for the date - but this did mean that there was slightly more space on the dance floor!! The band were good - but having spoken to one of their members later on he said as this was their first MT they didn't know quite what to expect - so they adjusted their set to suit the crowd as the night went on!! The DJ played an interesting set too - the later wedding type songs of the last couple of MT's being replaced by some interesting left field choices - still nothing by Calvin Harris or that ilk I'm pleased to report!! Oh, and finally, thank you Claire for the invite to the after party, a very nice wind down afterwards... Sophie - I hope you are on the mend!! |

What Can I Say other than You have to visit this wonderful venue It's so glamorous, friendly, fun with such a great mix of lovely people all there to enjoy the evening dancing away, the Live music is a great bonus this my 2nd visit I found it not as busy but still fantastic fun. It was great for me to have my lovely wife join me for our 1st outing together she loved meeting all of you fantastic girls too, thanks to all we met you're great friends xx Highly recommend you go especially if you like the older music and dancing and dressing up glamorous We'll be back soon xx |

A superb event in a magnificent venue. Maybe the band was not as good as usual but the DJ plays a great set of music.. A great night out as always.

On entering the venue you'll walk up several stairs and are then greeted by the door security and two friendly receptionists. A short walk further on to the right leads you to the Ladies Loo & Powder Room fitted with nice large mirrors and good lighting. Get changed from scratch or refresh one's make-up before making your grand entrance to the fabulous, large & quite plush ballroom with plenty of seating & tables. The bar staff are pretty quick & friendly, just don't ask for tap water as they want, in fact near enough insist that you to buy the plastic variety...Yuk! I like to dance quite a bit and the DJ played reasonable R&R & dance-to music, don't try & make a request as it will get ignored. The live band came on after a while and greeted people with "Hello everyone how the FU*K are you all" which I thought was rather unnecessary, followed by a few more 'FU*KS' along the way. Their music wasn't much to my liking either which at least gave me a chance to rest my achy feet. Luckily they didn't play for long. A good mix of friendly people, plenty of nice outfits and no hassle. It can get quite busy, fortunately the attendance was more on the comfortable side this time. All in all I went home pleased that I went albeit ending up with sore feet. I've been several times before. Well worth a visit. |

Another fun evening at Magic Theatre on 22 June 2013. With the long summer nights comes a lot of light so the turn out was lower than usual but the energy and ambiance of the Tivoli Ballroom still shone through. As usual the DJ pumped out some great tunes but for me at any rate the live band didn't deliver. What they actually achieved was to stop everyone dancing which I thought defeated the intention - maybe it's just me!! Anyway, undeterred, the evening progressed and I must applaud the ladies (and gents) who went to the trouble of dressing up - excellent effort indeed......especially......(no way - that would be telling :-) Here's to Halloweeen - see you there folks xXx |

Could I possibly have found a better venue for my debut outing? I seriously doubt it! It was perfect in so many ways: a beautiful period-piece treasure of a genuine ballroom; a complete spectrum of attendees, all simply enjoying the atmosphere; live music and disco; friendly staff. Miss Claire really is the hostess with the mostest! She greeted me and escorted me around the Theatre and sat with me until I found my feet (and my breath), and I was invited to join a table of TGirls, who were so friendly and welcoming. I was on my feet and dancing my stilettos off within the hour and had a thoroughly marvellous evening. The only regret is that it finished at 1am...:(... Will I go again? Just try and stop me! I'm a committed MT fan now, and thank everyomne for making it such a special evening. |
