As usual a brilliant night Clare was her lovely self.. I posed the question ( "is it true that the Rivoli is closing" ) Answer NO it is not true .... that is from the best authority , So we can all rest easy. Now to the actual evening, every one was having a wonderful time , it was a pity when the time came for the Usual scrabble for Postchase. my cabbie was non-existent but eventually got to bed in the early hours (Knackered as Usual) Love you all Stan xxx |

Fabulous fantastic fantasy land...excellent changing facilities, friendly people, great music, amazing costumes...my only grumble is that it's not an all-nighter, or a bit later than 1am anyway. Will definitely go again.

The Magic Theatre is fabulous. It truly lives up to it's billing. The atmosphere generated by the happy joyful enthusiastic dancing fancy dress wearing crowd has to be seen to be believed. Halloween at the Magic Theatre banished all morbid melancholic thoughts that may have existed. For a few precious hours a fantasy land of dancing happy people ignore the social constraints and rigid roles of life. The unimpressive exterior belies the beautiful interior that is the Rivoli Ballroom. The single line queue for the bar is at first strange to the hyperactive commuters rats of the 21 century but actually works really well. The bar staff actually seem to enjoy themselves almost as much as the revellers. Like a good referee you hardly notice there is security. The girly girls are beautiful the tgirls ravishing and the men frightening, it was Halloween after all. Its just simply a great night out. The one negative point is the location. It is hell to get out of at 1am. Anyone fancy supplying a few minibuses or a coach to get us home. |

Fabulous , weird and wonderful and that was just the venue ! The event itself was out of this world and the people gorgeous
