If you want to get down and dirty then Sweet Wednesday's is the place. As a venue the Carlton it certainly aint! But, as a venue for us trannie girls you won't find much better. The whole set up just works beautifully if, like me, you want to get dressed to kill and then go at it full throttle. The changing rooms, which are accessed directly from the entrance to Central Station, are clean, light, and reasonably spacious; girls getting putting on their frocks and makeup are close enough for banter but not too close for comfort. You will usually find a professional makeup artist on hand to help if you need and rest assured when you head back down the stairs ready to enter the fray you will feel a million dollars just from the atmosphere in the room. Once inside you pass the cloakroom to leave your bags and drab before stepping down the final 5 stairs to enter the fray. There is a happily not too well lit bar where you can just mingle before taking the plunge into the play rooms. For me, this is the best bit. When I have been there in the afternoon this area has always been well stocked with willing admirers and not too many T-girls plying their trade. Consequently I have never had any difficulty in spreading my charms far and wide. However, this week, I was there rather later and at first I was just a little disappointed. Perhaps most of the admirers who were up for serious action had shot their bolts (as it were) and had left so I was just beginning to feel that I had missed my chances. However, fortunately for me it did all come good at last (or perhaps I should say that a few boys came good...) and I left shortly before closing time feeling on top of the world. So, is Sweet Wednesdays the place to go? I would always say yes. No matter what you are up for it has to be a place to see and be seen. OK, so why haven't I given it top billing as a venue? Well, inevitably there is one drawback - the toilets in the club are pretty horrid so if you want to fix your lipstick you are going to have to stand there alongside the guy you have just given the time of his life whilst he does a wee. Not quite my favourite scene!. Happily for us girls the toilets in the changing room upstairs are a whole lot better so you can always seek refuge up there. That said I shall keep on going back there until I finally fall of my 6 inch heels. Lianne XXX

I had a great time, catching up with old friends and making new ones. It was a good ratio of women to men. People were friendly and very easy to talk to. There seemed to be quite a few first timers (both T'Gurl and admirers) and there were a few genetic Girls there meeting and participating in the action. I notice that many of the regulars went out of their way to encourage the new people and shy guys to "loosen up and join in". My only negative was that I had to leave early to go to work but three lovely T'Gurls sent me on my way with a BIG smile on my face. I can't wait to come back. |

I had a lovely first visit, and I now understand what Sweet Wednesdays is all about. I loved that there were more men than girls. Enjoyed the intimate attention from various men both on my bottom when at the bar, and still more intimately inside the 'meeting' area. Shirley xxx

After attending several times in drab as an admirer I took the big step of going en femme. I received a confidence boosting welcome from Nancy. And marched upstairs where is a lovely area to change in. Lots of help and support as I got dressed. Carefully tip-toed back downstairs - and that was before I'd put the heels on. Check in my bag and into the lions’ den. Or that's how it felt for just a moment. The ice breaker for me was the fact that I was wearing higher heels than I had ever worn before and staggered across the room barely able to avoid a nasty fall - and barely able to contain my hysterical laughter as I grabbed the nearest chap for support and hissed in his ear, don't effing move. Balance restored I tottered towards the dark places where dark deeds occur. Now I am a long long way from convincing but wearing a fetching white corset and decent wig etc etc clearly enabled me to stir desires among some of the more discerning - or short sighted (or desperate) men. And I must say that I had an absolute ball. At no point did I feel in any danger of being pushed to do anything that I was not 100 per cent comfortable with. And I did not have any sense of the younger and prettier girls being pushed around either. (And by the way that is consistent with my experience at SW as an admirer - plenty of respect for the girls). It was also great fun to sit in the upstairs bar later on and to have a drink and a chat with some very lovely girls all of whom were great company. So if you are wondering whether to venture out to a venue, my advice is that Sweet Wednesday is not a scary place to make your debut. Quite the contrary. I certainly intend to go to Sweet Wednesday again (and again). And after going there en femme, I would much prefer my future visits to be as a girl |
