Hi girls and Boys went to sparkle again this year , a very well ran event and so friendly , the park was well laid out with lots of stalls selling wigs clothing and offering help and advice , as always the bars and canal St were very busy but coped well with the hospitality , in the evening went to Napoleans and Via and finally New York ! Lots of dancing and fun downstairs and upstairs !! , got photo bombed whilst posing for a pic on the way back to my Hotel , also met lots of friends mainly established well done once again Manchester thank you for caring for us good luck and lots of Love Karen Xx;-) X

A nice day in the park seem not so many peeps on sunday as was packed the Saturday. Lots of stalls etc catering was very good as was beer tent Bit of hiccup on the sound system around midday otherwise a good afternoon with musical entertainment Only downfall was you could.nt see the girls properly for miss sparkle/miss golden sparkle. All the girls that entered were lovely and my congrats to the two girls and runners up winning the contest. So look to next years event |

This was Samanthas' 1st Sparkle so dont have anything to judge it against The atmosphere in the park was great...a nice and simlpe touch was the ice pops being handed out being such a warm sunny day...wernt we lucky with the weather.Dont think to much of the acts on stage really...but i was wanting to see this Miss Sparkle pagent as that was what i was more interested in. A few more stalls selling tgirl clothing and accessories wouldnt go a nice rather than cats charity and sequined frocks only the tall slim daring young girls can wear with confidance |

A fantastic Sparkle weekend... thanks to all those involved with the organisation... My sixth one and the best yet, just had a smile on my face the whole weekend... Just a great time with old friends and made some new ones too.. Julia xx

If you've never been to this celebration then you don't know what you're missing. I did 3 days this year and didn't want it to end...... And don't worry about going on your own either. There are lots of people to chat to who will make you feel welcome and show you around during your stay.

SPARKLE is the biggest event in the tranny calendar. If you can make it to Manchester's Canal Street/Sackville Gardens locality, then you're ready to go. Accommodation is essential for those of us who don't live nearby, and booking in advance is essential. There were numerous stalls and happenings within the Sparkle enclosure and there were loads of bars and restaurants frequented by t-girls from all over the British Isles and beyond. Some estimates claim that around 300 girls were in attendance, though this hasn't been confirmed (please don't Unmissable! |

By far the best day of this my best Sparkle so far. Some fab new friends and a great time was had by all. The hotel was really helpful and aware of why we were there and one of them remembered me from last year! Policing and security was first class, visible at all times but unobtrusive. The weather was great and everybody was out and about. Sparkle is always an emotional time for us and this year was no exception but at least I graduated from bawling my eyes out to having some eye pricking moments as I reviewed the pics. Highly recommended but for first timers perhaps best to pre-arrange a meet up at first until feet are found. |
