What can I say - but top marks all round. Tony and the Sparkle crew but on an event that I can only describe as wow! Thank you to all the volunteers and collectors who ensured this was the best trans event ever. I understand there were over 10,100 visitors to the event. If was great to see families enjoy the comfortable atmosphere. I even managed to walk the 10 minutes to the park without feeling intimidated. The relaxed atmosphere on Thursday was good to introduce me to the scene at Canal Street. Friday night I had a Chinese with about 40 other girls. Saturday and Sunday was in the park and the sun burn was an added bonus. To round off Sunday evening I was able to have a chat and drink with Kim Marsh and Kelly Maloney. Not to mention all the great advice, great stalls, new friends, and of course some new hair! What a weekend. It may havd been my first Sparkle but I will definitely be back. ok I arrived and stayed at Britannia hotel Fri to Sun , wish Id have stayed Sunday as well as I called in the park before I left. Had a good time; too much cider and lack f sleep but who cares ?? As usual went to the Goose,Churchills and Naps of course !! Seems the rain held off until today !! The only drawback as far as I am concerned is lack of info about car park charges. Paid £20 in NCP Chorlton Street for 24 hours only to find CP Charles st opposite IBIS was lot cheaper, only £4 for next 24 hours so i moved my car.Thats a UNI carpark so id rather pay UNI than NCP !!! |

My first time at Sparkle.....absolutely loved it !! From Thursday through to Monday met some wonderful people Everyone so friendly and nice.....and was great to meet lots of girls and guys not related to the scene. Thoroughly recommend the weekend to anyone. Natasha x |

This was my first sparkle visit. Great day I attended the Friday night and Sunday day. Best part of Sunday was dancing with kavana (sorry if I have spelt his name wrong but hungover) Thank you for the great event so proud of Manchester Xxxxxxxx |

Friday was excellent again! Everyone seemed to be really happy and enjoying themselves. Some of the bars (particularly Via) were a bit too crowded and noisy for my taste but plenty of choice of course and I spent some time at Velvet relaxing over a drink. Caught up with some girls from Thursday night again and met some new ones. Cindy and Josie turned up late after 10:30 I think and we were on the dance floor in Via for a bit. Lost them in the crowd after I went out for a smoke so I'm sad I only got to see them for a short time. I think they raged all night! Another good day at Sparkle. |

Friday at Sparkle! Little booklets of advice, schedules and maps of venues, very much appreciated (although they lacked times of when things were happening in the park). All the Village clubs open but none of them completely packed. A good time.
