It was my fifth, and maybe best, visit to Sparkle. I always enjoy the afternoon in the park, but with the wonderful sunshine it was fabulous. It's nice being with so many happy relaxed people, and so much diversity. Huge thanks to the organisers. It must be hard work, but a brilliant outcome. |

Just a brilliant weekend, can't really fault any part of it apart from the rather brash, loud, uncouth gentleman who took too much stage time and air-space during the Miss Sparkle contest. But who cares, the rest of it was simply fab. J xx |

hi yet another fantastic sparkle weekend the weather was fantastic the atmosphere was wonderfull every body i spoke to including acts on stage,bar persons,gurls and a few admirers all said they had a fantastic weekend its brilliant cant wait for next year its the 10th anniversary that one should be a cracker x ps never have i seen so many happy smilling trans girls and boys and this was my 3 rd sparkle lets have even more next year |

This was my first Sparkle and I want to thank everyone involved in arranging this event! The weekend, from Thursday to Sunday, was the most fun I have had in a very long time! I have no negative remarks since I thought the event all in all was pretty much perfect! Well ... if I do have to say something negative; it's that I will have to wait 1 year until next time ;) Big hugs to all organisers and the city of Manchester! |

First full day at Sparkle 2013 and the weather was superb. A lovely guy took me to lunch and afters! Highlight if the evening was Yvonnne and her band at the Molly House.

Another great Sparkle weekend, and the weather was amazing! Lovely mix of events and socialising and naughtiness! Even had a really nice guy off here take me to a play which was nothing to do with Sparke and then to dinner. Roll on next year!

Sunday was my first ever day that I have been dressed from getting up and for the rest of the day. After breakfast it was time for me to vacate my room and take my case to my car, and as many people were leaving, to say many good byes. In the afternoon we enjoyed entertainment in Canal Street and spoke again to many people we had met over the week end. During the afternoon we decided to join in at the Closing Indian Meal. Again we met more new people and had a wonderful time and a great meal. After we all said more good byes, I left for the Midlands at 9.30 arriving home at 11.00 pm (still very nearly fully dressed!). I would just like to finish by saying that over the week end I believe I have discovered another complete person within myself, and I am so happy with this. I also want again to thank everyone for the support, Stella & tvChix for making all the communication possible and the Sparkle organisers for putting on the event. Due to my closeted situation I now have to decide how I handle this within my existing lifestyle which is already busy and varied, but there is one certainty, I want to take part in future events and to continue from that starting point last Friday night. |

Saturday morning we had a good look at Canal Street in daylight before returning to dress for Sparkle in the Park. This was a wonderfully oganised event with great entertainment from a variety of different acts. Again so many different people to chat with and stalls to look at. My big mistake as an inexperienced girl was to underestmate my ability to stand in heels for so long in the heat, so suffered severe discomfort for the rest of the weekend, although much better now I can still feel the bruising 3 days later! Despite the discomfort I still had a great afternoon. We booked a table to eat in Villagio, having changed for the evening we had an excellent meal, great company and another first, eating in a restaurant dressed! After we had eaten we spent the rest of the evening in the Crunch Bar, the atmosphere was great with a complete mixture of people including regualar couples and a hen party, the atmosphere was great and we were all chatting and telling our own stories. Again another late night but an incredible day for me. |

Sparkle 2013 - Having battled my way to Manchester from the Midlands and made myself as ready as I could to meet other people wearing a dress for the first time ever, with a little support from Loving_Steff I was out on Canal Street amongst so many people in moments, as we walked along we spoke to several people and they were all so lovely and supportive too. Eventually we arrived at the Molly Bar where we spent most of the evening chatting with so many people , there was a great atmosphere with The Tacky Tarts playing. After they finished playing, we had a chat with band members too. We had a brief visit to the Icon Bar before returning to the hotel at about 2.30 am. |
