Sparkle 12 – My third time to Sparkle, what is there to say a wonderfully organised event. The organisers really need a big thank you for creating a fun relaxed event for all to enjoy. For me Sparkle is what you want it to be you can take the plunge and take in all that is on show or you can take the opportunity to go, kick back and meet friends from far afield. May be even meet people that otherwise you would not get the chance to see because of geographical location and stuff. I had a great time as I have the previous times; yes the prices might go up a bit but that’s common for any event these days. All in all great and long may it remain, I can’t think of anywhere else where you will find such diversity and extovertity as you will on Canal Street on Sparkle weekend. A really fun weekend, great company, good dining and just a bit of a hangover. |

Had a great time at Sparkle, met a few friends and a few crazy girls lol, loved meeting the incredibly gorgeous and unbelievably sexy Rachel and her charming funny partner Gary, i had a lovely chat with the cute, sexy, utterly adorable Martina, so a great night all round and made a few friends i'll be hoping to see more of.

Not so much of a sparkle more a twinkle, which is more aimed towards the girls there, sad that people say a lot they dont mean but maybe thats the drink talking

Sparkle just gets better every year! Fantastic night on Friday in Eden. Meal great and there was cabaret which we didn't expect which was very good! Service was fantastic and staff really friendly...can thoroughly recommend. Sparkle in the Park on Saturday was good although they could put on more seating! More stalls that in previous years although I think there should be more stalls where products can be purchased as I think the right products could make an absolute killing with such a captive audience. All in all a defo 5 stars and no doubt 2013 will be even bigger and better! |

Our 3rd Sparkle, thoroughly enjoyed it, have already booked for next year, can't wait. If you've never been and are uming and ahing or a little nervous about coming then you have nothing to worry about, its safe, there are plenty of us gurls around and you will always be made to feel welcome. |

The sun may have been shy in coming out but us girlies certainly weren't! Friday night saw us venturing out early, and strutting our stuff on the dancefloor of New Union bar, only stopping (just) from embarrassing ourselves horribly on the poles. Within the hour, the bars were thronging with the excited chatter of glamorous and gorgeous T-girls and their partners. We bar hopped along the length of Canal Street, for research purposes of course to establish which bar had the best atmosphere, music and wine. Our rigorous efforts paid off, and we discovered that Via was one of the most fun places to hang out. A late start on Saturday, nursing slightly sore feet, we strolled back along Canal Street around lunchtime and fell into easy conversation with a group of T-girls and joined them for coffee. The atmosphere was noticeably relaxed and it was great fun just to people watch, and see all the amazing and sometimes outrageous outfits pass by us. We wandered into the Sparkle park early afternoon and again it was noticeable how relaxed everybody seemed. Lots of old acquaintances were reunited and new ones made. The entertainment was exactly that - entertaining. The Miss Sparkle contest was treated by most contestants in the spirit in which it's intended, a little tongue in cheek. We did feel however that there was too long a wait for the judges' results - the poor Misses Sparkles were all shivering in their sequins and the audience was getting fed up. Once more glammed to the nines, we tottered out that evening and found that the bars in Canal Street were even busier than the previous night. It was a bit of a squeeze on some dance floors but still good fun and everyone seemed in good humour. Sparkle proved a great fun experience and a wonderful chance to meet up with existing friends and make new ones. It's now time to rest our poor feet though. |

Well what can I say? This was my 1st Sparkle and it most certainly won't be my last. Manchester Village really is a warm and friendly area with lots of bars and clubs that makes for a fantastic venue.
|
