A little gem of a venue. Split up into two main areas with comfatble seating enclaves. Bar prices low for London. Freindly staff. Secure entrance. Sabrina is such a great hostess and very enthusiastic. Has the potential to be a New "Charlie's bar " night . Hopefully it's going to get the support it do deserves. |

Wow, this was a fantastic night, wonderful dance music, mostly and am amazingly friendly bunch of people present. The hostesses were super friendly as usual :)) |

got there about 10:30. Its opposite the monument tube exit next to the monument itself so you can't miss it ...unless you choose the wrong exit like some friends did lol. Its a downstairs bar but they had some flags outside to help you out. £5 in (email Sabrina b4) and £1 cloaks. Drink prices were low and the staff very friendly. layout is bar area with seats opposite, dance area to the far side and a sort of l-shaped alcove with further seating. I enjoyed the night. DJ was playing a mix of dance (which I liked) and 80s/90s music which had me back at the bar. Good bunch of people there but not too crowded so my friends and I left for electric dreams around 1:30 which was being held close by. Will be back for the Halloween bash Thanks Sabrina. |

Wow, what a fantastic evening. The DJ was brilliant, mixing a great mix of music that kept me on the dance floor. I spent almost the entire evening dancing my little feet off! I even managed to get several of my requests played - sorry to the girls who didn't like my musical choices! It is set in a large bar near Monument station. Given its location, £4.50 for a pint seems reasonable. There was quite a good turn out for the opening night and there was plenty of space for more people. Sabrina was there to greet everyone at the door in her warm friendly way, making everyone feel welcome. I really hope this new venue goes from strength to strength. If you want somewhere to go where you can show off your favourite frock, chat to some really friendly people and dance the night away, look no further. |

First night! The Britannia is literally in the Monument Square and impossible to miss. Lots of parking if you get there early enough and should be a good venue as there is no real passing trade so only those who know where it is and what it is will bother to look for it. Basement bar with dance area, lots of seating and a good size bar. 30-50 people make it feel good and 100-150 would make it feel very buzzy. Lacks changing facilities on site but I believe an arrangement has been made with the hotel next door. I had a good night chatting and talking to friends new and old. Stayed till 2.30 ish and when I left the square was almost empty and I managed to drive off still dressed and off into the night and home no drama at all. |
