Words cannot describe how utterly amazing it was. To be part of the parade and to have 1000s of people cheering you on, hi5-ing and fist-bumping. OMG. A day never to be forgotten.

Good lunch and afternoon visit and Lower Briggate packed by 3pm. Tried a new wine bar on Call Lane called Oporto ( I think ) which was very nice. One noticeable feature was that bar prices were up by 50% on Friday but I suppose it was non happy hour so probably justified although my bill in Smokestack remained the same . My only criticism was that the security on the access points to Lower Briggate was not particularly polite or helpful in particular the police community support which directed me the wrong way before I had to retrace my steps down Call Lane to return to Briggate.
