Basement bar, entrance opposite Starman pub if you couldn't find it like me. A speakeasy affair, walls festooned with memorabilia and a smattering of Soho characters old and new. A very friendly crowd and pianist who could play just about anything including, of course, all your fav bowie hits. drink prices were reasonable too.

I went as I was already in the area, as it happened it seems that there were two events in the same small space! Both groups mingled well and there was an excellent pian player (apparently he played some with Bowie) and he also did requests. A few were singing along with the piano player, who was in my opinion, was super. All this led to a really good evening and met a few new girls, plus re-acquainted with a couple from a long long time ago. It's easy to find, nice small space, small bar, but not sure it can be this good again without the piano player, maybe he could be a fixture with the event, just a thought NOTE: I've put average security, it's part of a restaurant and in reality, no security and definitely not needed. |

A great night because it happened to coincide with a special night of Bowie-inspired art, crowds of people and a terrific pianist.

What a wonderful evening. Wonderous space filled with the more interesting characters who make up London. |
