A fabulous night out in Brighton What a night! I'll be honest; this was very much out of my comfort zone, but I'm so glad I went for it. The drag acts at the Queens Arms were brilliant as always; it's one of my favourite places and never disappoints. Fun, cheeky and full of energy, it was the perfect way to kick off the night. Later on I moved on to the Nautilus Lounge, which was the perfect contrast: quieter and more intimate, a lovely spot to relax, chat and enjoy a drink. I got lots of attention throughout the night: plenty of compliments, some lovely flirting and a few cheeky chats too. For once I wasn't self-conscious at all; I felt confident, glamorous and totally myself, which is exactly what a night out should be about. Both venues were welcoming and friendly, and I ended up staying out much later than I'd planned, which says it all really. If you're nervous about going out en femme in Brighton, don't be; it's a safe, supportive and seriously fun place to be yourself. Can't wait for the next one! 💋 |
