Description:
On the corner of Canal Street & Chorlton Street, one of Manchesters oldest pubs which opened in the 1850's. A traditional bar with the usual mix of customers and the usual drag queen entertainment most nights. The customers here are varied, can often get drunk, leary or even border line violent and as the door staff are not very proactive in dealing with them this venue can be a challenging, if not downright scarey one, for new or inexperienced ladies. Bar staff are not the friendliest on the planet and can often seem just grumpy.
Good range of drinks with "happy hour" offers early in the evening but only on a very small range of selected drinks so check the prices first before ordering or you will have an unhappy hour.
Prices get expensive after the happy hour and they have some strange pricing policies such as selling a half pint for £4.50 while a pint is £6.00
