The L & B was a narrow gauge railway (2ft / 60cms gauge) withered arm of the Southern Railways withered arm in North Devon opened in late 1800's and closed in 1935. A number of volunteers have formed a group with the aim of restoring what is possible and preferably the whole line form end to end.

I visited the location in July 2015 and found the staff helpful and respectful of my 'T-girl' needs.

Handy hint - if approaching from the Minehead direction, when you get to Lynmouth, DO NOT take the A39 to Barnstaple instead take the B road towards Lynmouth and 1/2 way up the hill turn left towards, this will take you towards the A39 avoiding a very long detour via Watersmeet.
