I was at Queens Court at some point of the night, not actually attending LFF, as I had sincerely forgotten about it being held last Friday - my not being too familiar of this event. Anyway, I did notice alot of Tgirls around that night. So, there I was sat in Queens Court, and suddenly I noticed 4 Tgirls find themselves a table to sit at. This I found very strange as most folk were dancing in there. I was sat waiting for my friend to return from the little boys room, when we were heading off for another venue. As the Tgirls sat, motionless and non talking - this I felt to be a disturbing image in a nightclub - I ventured over to the quartet and asked if they were Chixsters, and politely ordered them to have a good night. I then left, so didn't get to meet anymore. Plus, I was getting pretty smashed so my presence wouldn't have been appreciated anyhow had I turned up at the other venues later.
Next time, I shall attend, and won't get as p###ed. So as to enjoy all the ladies - hopefully not all miserable or moody - in all their glory.

Oh, and my ratings cannot be valid as I DID NOT really attend the event.

Cin xx

A cracking night out with great company. Not that keen on. having a dedicated area in Fibre but it is good for those who feel less than confident about mixing with the public. Always enjoy the Loft. Still a must try night out.

Leeds and most of the people of that city are great;they create a friendly and pleasant atmosphere.
I think us trans need to smile and be confident and be happy in such environments. Don't be scared girls and don't feel intimidated... don't be dour and distant.

I usually go on the Thursday and the F/Friday. I recommend it, if you can do it and you're adventuress....

LFF is a very broad-church trans-event, young to old, p/t dressers to full-time transitioners and a fair few men and women too. Most meet in the bar of the Cosmopolitan Hotel from as early as 5pm, the main critical-mass (collective noun for trannies) being about 9pm.

Most move off in groups.
Tips for newbies: Talk to others in the Cosmo lounge before you venture out. Ask if anyone is going to Blaydes or the Viaduct or Fibre and can you walk with them. Once you are out, you'll wonder why you were so fearful. Don't wear silly heels if you can't walk in them... LOTS OF COBBLES... they can twist your ankles and ruin your shoes! I usually take a change of shoes and pop back to the room 1/2-way through the night; (8pm til 4am = 8hrs!)
(Ask the organiser if you want help to get as far as the lounge). Irrational fear.... the hotel is FULL of trannies!!!!

February was vv cold outside, but The Viaduct (my favourite) and the New Penny, were red hot inside. (As I kept telling the lovely man and woman on security outside the NP .... Oh, how we laughed!)
(The New Penny had a male stripper who took it all off... so it must have been warm inside; no acorn, more anaconda.... !)

If you've been, you are very likely to return, if you've never been, it is (IMO) the best and enables you to walk the city streets, be more adventuress and go from place to place, meeting lots of people and many non-trans-world people too. (Not a single club and not an isolated "gay-zone"... just pleasant. Be confident, sensible and smile.) Costs per day: £90 (tops) should get you a nice room, 24hrs parking and a breakfast. Drinks on Friday about £3. Some venues charge, expect to pay about £6 entries in total. You can spend more. you can spend less.
Any specific, serious questions, mail me and if I can offer
an opinion/view, I'll try to help.
Sandra.

good night out not as busy as in the past months, good for newbies to get out for first time, but needs to be added with extra sparkle for me.

Personally the idea of an ambassador to be present to introduce everyone would be better or as a suggestion, a name badge given to all concerned on a sticky label, so we know who everyone is would be a major advantage.

My first time at LFF. Great atmosphere, wonderful friendly crowd of girls from all over the country, with a wide range of age groups and lifestyles. Wouldn't have missed it for the World and would recommend it to anyone. My only small criticism would be that the club venues perhaps dont really provide the music that we all might like..but hey, thats probably my age more than anything! Would go again whenever possible. Great for cementing friendships and finding new ones.
