A great evening and a good venue for your first time out. The car park can get full so don't leave it too late.

Another smiley night at BNO. It was busy, full of lovely ladies all having a god natter, laugh & booge on the dance floor.
Frank but a few too many logs on the fire in the attic but duly put the air con on- thanks Frank I was getting slightly charred!!
The new unisex toilets however I feel should be for Girls & T-Girls only as towards end of night the 'gaggle' of lads in there made me fel a little intimidated & they left the seat up!!!
As usual THE No1 place to enjoy who you are or who you want to be. xxxxx

Fancy a night out at The BNO?

Not the sort of distance I care to travel as a rule, just under 2 hours by car on a good run from Epsom Surrey, getting back is the worst when all the aching starts and the make-up melts.

A TV friend was quite excited at the thought of getting out and about and being quite new to appearing in public she wished to go so I decided to tag along although I never build my hopes up when going to a venue for the first time. We also roped (well not quite) another TV friend making a trio, turning out as two Gurls and one Boy. We got there at around 9.40pm and parked in the BNO car park which was at this time getting quite full.

Apparently the place to go first is the hotel opposite called The Campanile so we walked along the unmade BNO car park which incidentally doesn’t do your shoes much good, walked across the road onto a somewhat muddy patch of grass also not doing your shoes any favours, it was a shortcut to the Hotel Bar. The Hotel car park was also getting quite full, don't get there any later I thought.
Once entering the hotel, the bar was pretty much crammed with TV's, some possibly TS's hard to tell at times, it sort of reminded me of a hen house, no males apart from the one in our trio who was radiantly well turned out, not to mention ourselves. We had a couple of drinks and departed for the BNO event (back over the muddy patch again..yuk).
We paid our £7 to the friendly staff and entered. Straight away one is bombarded with disco music and was already very busy or should I say buzzing, quite good actually although the noise levels wouldn’t be for everybody. There were stairs to the right which take you to an upstairs bar and lounge area with an open fire blazing away, pretty impressive and quiet enough to hold a conversation. Through another door there is an outside smoking area which has a similar open fire and has overhead covering in places should it rain. There is a snack bar at one end which at one time gave away burgers but because of the waste they now charge £2.50 and £1.50 extra for a handful of chips, work that one out if you can?

There was quite a mixture of males, Tran gendered and possibly a few RGG's on the dance floor with mostly Tran gendered folks upstairs.

I admit to having a reasonably good time, meeting with a few familiar faces helped. I'm used to getting on with it and mix with people quite easily but if you are on the shy side it would be pretty hard to strike up a conversation, people just don't look around for newcomers to greet, slightly cliquey some might feel.

Would I go there again? I doubt it, not enough excitement to compensate for the distance....Yawn….(sleep zzzzz).

Excellent venue, and the new bar with food in the outside area is tops. Its my fave venue, so many different areas, love the music, busy, loads of atmosphere, always feel secure. Excellent location for dressers like me with the hotel over the road.

Just one tiny tiny thing I think some of the revolving lights have been brought down to near eye level, a bit blinding.
Could there be a dark beer, possibly? eg Guinness or Murphy's.. Guinness do a 'surge-flow' version in cans, which is sparked by some kind of vibration from a drop of water at the bar.. its excellent and easy to stock :-)

Oeooops that was two things

As always Pink Punters is a great venue. Good turn out & the Camp's bar was packed by 9.30.
The new outside bar at PP is a great idea & the food is reasonably priced

Things are getting better as time goes on with obvious improvements to the venue. There are new loo's in the attic bar and the smoking area is probably the best in the country....and I don't smoke! Roaring fires, bar, kitchen cooking and serving burgers and bacon rolls etc. Even the approach to the venue is safer now there are steps rather than the dodgy slope!

I had a fabulous night.
