Went to LFF for the first time on the 2nd September, stayed in the Marriott hotel which was a lovely hotel, they gave us an upgrade to a better room which was a bonus. We parked in the Trinity car park nearby which the hotel has an arrangement with. Breakfast was self service and good. The hotel location is perfect for LFF and of course you have the mirror with the LGBT+ wings for the standard LFF photo. Started the night in the Marriott bar and met some lovely people, then went on to the New Penny which was quiet, but that meant there was lots of room on the dance floor. After that we went to some other bars/clubs which were packed, but by then I was flying and had no real idea where I was. Luckily I was with a friend who looked after me and made sure I got back to the hotel. Atmosphere was good and we had no issues wandering the streets, everyone was very friendly. I suggest if you go you should go with or team up with someone. We went to the Royal Armoury the following day which is a very good museum and free, but there is lots of other things to do in the local area. |

That was a very quiet LFF (imho). No less for it mind. Actually it seemed most of Leeds stayed away. Even the taxi driver said it was TOO quiet! I ventured away from the usual haunts (on my own) and still had a good time. What is not to like about being yourself amongst humanity.

Another excellent night with a large turnout. Moving memorial to Janie Marie in the New Penny at 8:00 before we partied and celebrated her life in the way she would wish |

Another fabulous and most enjoyable night out in Leeds with loads of wonderful people around. Maybe I'm biased being Leeds born and bred but it really is a great event to strut your stuff at. Hope you were looking down with approval Janie xx |

Ms Leeds here are your review scores: Safe surroundings? Correct. Good for beginners? Correct.. Loud "pumpin' tunes"? Correct. Cheesy pop? Correct. Decent hotel bar (Marriott)? Correct. Gorgeous drag queens? Correct.. Reasonable drinks prices? Incorrect. (Two glasses of rose and a glass of prossecco should be £12 not £19). Well done, I think you are currently the best TGirl night out in the UK. 6 lipsticks out of 7. |

A good night out meeting Alana and having tapas at Ambiente after Smokestack . Then over to Blayds to see Louise and Dean followed by a visit to Marriott to see how the general LFF land lies. Margo was there with Belinda but only one other girl we knew out of many present. There do seem to be loads of new faces now which is nice . There seemed to be hardly any guys present though . Had a brief chat with Rachel and Natalee off here for the first time in Smokestack before I went home so they were two old hands present lol.

My first LFF for years and why had I waited so long to go back!? lol Lovely night, lots of venues to choose from, and very friendly atmosphere. If you’ve not been or aren’t sure then simply go. Lots of smiling faces & friendly people to chat with. You don’t need to stay over either, if driving use the Trinity car park next to the Marriott, cheap evening rate. |

A brilliant night. Pride weekend meant it was pretty busy everywhere and the atmosphere around Leeds was a carnival. Fantastic to meet a few new trans men and women at the event for the first time, which was fantastic to see, and a few familiar faces I haven't seen in a while too! xx
