I visited Leeds all weekend as it was Pride too however I stayed in bloke mode all weekend!! There's always next year! I stayed at the Travelodge this time and spoke to a couple of girls too. Loved the whole weekend. I will be back to a LFF in the near future as Jenny. Take care Jenny xx |

... It's Monday morning and this has been one hell of a party ! :) LFF, Saturday and of course Pride march on Sunday As I walk back to the cosmopolitan from smokestack things are finally starting to quieten down ... the streets are littered with 1000”s of plastic cups, well it was a hot day lol Really enjoyed the parade and was there from the start this year which was amazing with all the trans groups leading, with the LFF being forth! .. the sight of them with the “trans flags” on the stairs of Leeds Museum was incredible! (didn't realize we had our own flag sweeties) during the parade had to borrow Emily's and have a boogie with it ..such fun ! lots of smiles along the way .. the street party was also really lively, must have been good as at one point a "gurl" had climbed on top of a traffic light and was fist pumping the air in time to the music.. much to the amusement of others (don't think ill be trying that) lol LFF was as usual an amazing night out, lots of people in the cosmo and around the bars generally... have fun !! A very enjoyable evening that was busier than usual probably due to it being Leeds PRIDE weekend. Meeting old friends and for making new ones LFF is the perfect night out for first timers. |

What to say ....... after missing a few First Friday bashes I had to get to the August one as it was the 1st anniversary of Dee getting out in daylight proper ...... a lot has changed in that year but LFF is still as wonderful as ever. From a nervous type standing behind my room door, full of trepidation at stepping out, catching the lift and crossing the foyer I now drive there and back in Dee mode with not a shred of concern ...... in no small measure due to the friendship and support I've found from others at the evenings ...... and by the acceptance I've had from the good people of Leeds. I can't think of a better place to step out for the first time, Sparkle is good too but the LFF nights really are excellent in every way ....... why not give 'em a try yourself, you'll see I'm not wrong. The usual wonderful night out meeting girls from all over the country. One said there is nowhere else for you to get glammed like LFF and strut your stuff . Here here. Come on girls get to LFF and look fabulous . Life is for living not hiding in the shadows !!! You will always be assured of a friendly welcome in Yorkshire : -) . All the bars fine as always. Not terribly keen on the new look Viaduct but I guess it's always personal preference anyway . All the rest super as always. Try Angelicas if you fancy a classy cocktail .

Like the assembling of a barbarian horde, it isn't so much the muster point that makes LFF such a fantastic event, but the tranny rampage through the clubs that follows. The Cosmo is over priced, the bar is always understaffed, it's always too hot - would it kill them to put up a couple of big fans or install some in the ceiling? The fun is at the Viaduct, which is my favourite place, Queen's Court, the Bridge and the trannyshack, sorry Smokestack. The music in Fibre isn't my kind of thing, but I love the Viaduct, no matter how busy it gets. This time round we stayed in the Discover, which was very affordable at £50 for a twin room. Only a short walk down to the Cosmo and obviously, very handy being right opposite the train station. All you really need for LFF is some people to go with, and fortunately, I have a very lovely one who puts up with my erratic behaviour for some reason. |
