Another great weekend at Leeds and LFF. It was my fourth visit and it gets better each time. Since my first visit I've made so many new friends and seem to make more each time. Also finding that if you're prepared to go off the usual route and venues there are plenty of places to cater for everyone, I even managed my first visit to a local restaurant... could LFF be improved? only by adding more hours to a day xx |

Another fantastic LFF which I enjoy immensely. I met lots of new friends, caught up with old ones and generally had a lovely time. LFF is one of the very best nights out and if you haven't tried it yet, you really should!

The usual ace night out with the usual lovely crowd. I really do think its the friendliest event on the T scene with something for everybody. If you want to chat stick to Cosmo or Smokestack. If you like a vibe stick to the rest . A great opportunity to study different styles and meet new people . I have never witnessed anything that concerned me in the slightest. Leeds is one hell of a city when it comes to civilised tolerant and inclusive behaviour. Also glad to see the girls are taking it steady these days. No sign of any dollies trollied lol . Best plan in those heels .

Had a great time as usual at this wonderful event. Cosmo bar a little bit slow on service, but considering how many of us were there it's not surprising, and it didn't stop us from chatting as we moved forward. Fibre - excellent food, tasty wraps, and delicious Danish pastry. Mmmm Viaduct had some wonderful shows on stage, and even a bartender's dancing competition actually ON the bar itself. a fun night all round. Loved it. |

Once again the First Friday bash didn't disappoint with its blend of folk, catered for by attentive bar and door staff, in friendly venues with a good mix of types who are all out out for a good night ........ who could possibly ask for more ? Honestly m'dears, if you're looking for an opportunity to get out in good company, somewhere safe and accepting and bang in the middle of the country ........ give Leeds First Friday a go, it's flippin' wonderful !! Congratulations to all involved, I'll most definitely be back. Dee |

Another great night up here lots of girls up here but i thought the bars were quite empty compared to normal and if it wasn't for us then it would have been very quiet. Caught up with lots of friends there who not seen for ages. I have made some wonderful friends up here with people from all walks of life who i would have never met before and will always be with us in our hearts, some girls will know what i mean by that. Cosmo was up to usual standard of friendliness and good service unfortunately it was a pity that they can't vet some of their guest as i was in the next room to a load of scumbags who had no respect for anybody else staying there and were eventually evicted from their room in the morning. So didn't get much sleep although it wasn't the staff's fault they did reimburse my parking fee as an apology for the disturbance which was gratefully received. Great atmosphere in the bar with plenty of girls in there all night long and as others have said a really good place for your first time out and you will be well and truly looked after |

This was my 14th LFF, and I was expecting it to be a quiet one as was only 5 days into the new year and yet it was VERY popular which just shows how awesome this event really is ! If you are someone who has always wanted to get out but has been too nervous to try something like this well you really need to come along. I've recommended LFF to so many newbies over the last twelve months and seen them come along and have such a good time that they have come back time and time again. Trust me you will be made so welcome by everyone here that you will wonder why you had not come along before. You can even stop in the hotel where it all starts off, The Cosmopolitan Hotel and it it full of TGirls on LFF nights, you can walk straight down the stairs (or in the lift if your not used to Heels) into the Bar where you will be blown away by just how many other Gurls there are out there. You will make lots of friends very quickly, don't be shy come along and see what I mean and join the most popular monthly event going. There are many hotels available near to where LFF starts off, all depends what you want. I generally stop at the Travelodge Leeds Central which is less than a minute walk away. The unofficial LFS (Leeds First Saturday) was also the most popular so far with around 20 girls out. This is great for girls that have travelled a long way and want to make the most of their stay in Leeds, A chance to have a second great night out in a row. THE monthly event that I will always go out of my way to make sure I attend, never had a bad LFF. What are you waiting for? Book that hotel today and see you at the next LFF. come get a selfie with me :) Check out my LFF videos on my YouTube channel to see what its all about. Gemma x |

After a long and varied history of going out girly I finally made it to LFF. My journey started at lunchtime Wednesday from the West Of Ireland via an overnight in Dublin and given that I had quite a distance to travel I decided to spoil myself and book four nights at The Cosmopolitan. I arrived early on Thursday morning and believe it or not it's now three o clock on Monday and I'm waiting to travel to the Airport for a 7:30 flight to Dublin followed by a three hour bus journey and a taxi to Spiddal a small village 10 miles west of Galway City on the West Coast Of Ireland. So I had one full day to prep and another to wind down. Was it worth it, Hell Yes. A Big Thumbs Up from Me. I always enjoy me trips to the UK, and I'm a veteran of BNO, Enigma Ball and Sparkle. LFF was the final event on my list. The fun started to kick in early Friday afternoon after I had returned from shopping on the high street in girly mode with a new pair of strappy heels to match my new gold sequinned dress. I was approached by a gentleman in the bar inquiring as to whether I was Sammy. It was CharlieMac in blokey mode and herself and Amelia was having a quick nosebag before transforming for the evening. I had never met either of these gurls before and the connection and empathy was instant. We had a natter and a few drinks at the bar while other gurls began to arrive and the atmosphere was gathering momentum. It was back upstairs for a couple of hours to do our evening transformations. By the time I got back down the party was in full swing at 7:30. The girls introduced me to some of their buddies and 9 of us crossed the road to have a fabulous dinner at Via Italian restaurant. One of the girls Steph deserves special mention due to he unbelievable generosity in insisting that she picked up the tab if we all took care of the tip. By this stage it was approaching 11pm and we all headed next door for a bit of a bop and the craic was 90. This was followed by a couple of further pitstops at Fibre and The Viaduct b4 my poor feet couldn't take anymore and I retired at 3am. By the time I got back to the Cosmo the bar was still in full flow. I didn't see much daylight the following day but and sadly never got to say goodbye to all my new found friends. Ciao to Steph, Michelle, Lucy, Amelia and Charlie and the few others whose names escape me. However I met a whole new batch of buddies to hang with on the Saturday, Emily, Gemma, Jenny, Vanessa ane best of all I got to meet with an old friend from my BNO visists in 2010 and fellow Irish Girl Dannibabe. We partied into the night retreading the venues of the night before and a couple of new ones to boot. I think it was about 3:30 b4 calling it a night (I had the War Shoes on, a pair of Mary Janes so my feet were in fine fettle.) Sunday morning was a brekkie appointment at the famous Bridge Café and their Mega Breakfast. All the girls bar Emily were back in blokey mode and we said our farewells by midday. Luckily for me I had Sunday to recuperate and enjoy the luxury of a further change before rounding off the evening with a whopper indian meal and a bottle of wine. I had a warm feeling inside reflecting on all the new friends I had made. We have an old Gaelic Saying in Ireland "Cead Mile Failte" (phonetically Kade Meela Fawlta) literally translates at A Hundred Thousand Welcomes. Leeds First Friday is not just an event, it's an experience of warmth and empathy from people who share a common bond. No Crap, No Bullshit, No Pretensions, just a feeling of sharing our unique identities and being proud of what we are. I have a long journey ahead and had a long one getting here. It was well worth it and I'm gong home with a warm feeling that will carry me across the Irish Sea and back to my small fishing village in the West Of Ireland. LFF was fabulous, I'l be back for sure, I'm sure you will all concur with a parting wish with another Gaelic Saying "Go N'Eiri an Bother Leat" (phonetics Guh Nieree On Bow Her Lat) it means May The Road Rise With You. I'll leave you with another old saying, not Gaelic, attributable to Arnie. I'll Be Back. Thanks to all for organising and making such a fabulous event, it's the best possible start to 2018. XXXXXX Mwah Sammy. However, |
