Another great night with the Nottingham massive. A few of us girls had an Itallian in town before heading to The new Forresters for the meet up. Debbie (or should i say Ali G) sorted us all complimentary shots and organized a raffle for Red Nose Ray. After a couple of drinks most of the girls headed into town to find a new venue. Our party headed into Queen of Clubs for a few drinks and a bit of a boogie before the quick stroll down to NG1 for a few hours of fun. At about 3 am we made the quick jaunt back to the forresters for the last drink or 2 and a chip bap? After the obligitary photos and a last boogie it was time for goodbye,s and the walk back through town to the hotel. A top night out, with great people and many laughs along the way. Well, apart from eventually getting drunk as a school boy, I had a great night! (So pished in fact I was too bleedin hung over to go to footy the next day!! Light Weight...) Can't do the next one as I'm committed elsewhere, but will deffo go again. I arrived as a complete stranger, but soon got 'under winged' by organisers & attendees alike, - so if you're worried by being shy/alone/Willimena-No-Mates...., don't be! We trawled some of the lowest dens of iniquity Nottingham has to offer, - & escaped with our lives intact. Was safe. A Hoot. Great night organised by Cool Beans & Alphabetty Spaghetti. Attended by several lovelies!! They must know who they are! See you all soon again I hope. R. |

A snowy night out wasnt everyones cup of vodka, but it was nice to see so many show up at various points of the night. Hopefully Feb's Invasion will be less blizzardlike lol |

Have attended many events across the country and a number of Invasions in Nottingham. My main attraction to Nottingham Invasion is the fantastic group of gurlz that attend and of course its local to me. Also very friendly / welcoming by the event organisers (Samantha Coolbeans and Maddy Watson) and the meeting place at The Forester Arms is an ideal venue to catch up with everyone before heading out on the town. The thing I like best about Nottingham Invasion is that we do a number of bars including LGBT and straight bars. So if your tired of attending gay clubs / pubs all the time, head for Nottingham Invasion where you will be welcomed in establishments such as Revolutions Vodka Bar, Oceana Night Club to name but a few. Of course there are a number of LGBT clubs too including NG1 (voted top LGBT Night Club in the East Midlands). Most of the Invasion head off in groups and generally meet up back at the starting point (New Foresters Arms) in the early hours for food and approved taxi's home. If your tired of doing the same main stream events then certainly give Nottingham Invasion a try. You wont be disappointed and it offer Trans people a unique and different experience. When writing this review I attended the November 2012 Invasion, we attended The New Market Bar (Gay Bar) and then over the road to Oceana (Straight Club) where we were all well received (inc an amazing drink offer for Friday nights, Buy one get 2 FREE. For example, a bottle of BUD was £4.80 for three bottles, J2O was £3.10 for three bottles! Hence to say I had a few quid left at the end of my night lol.. Uploaded a few pics too to this review. What can I say, first outing in "real"world and Nottingham Invasion was fabulous. New Foresters pub was very welcoming,the Invasion girls there were lovely, & the staff great. Despite very wet weather we ended up at Oceana, again very friendly staff and all the regular clubbers joined in with our fun. Danced until Very late and back to New Foresters for final drinks and home. Highly recommended for newbies or more experienced girls. Thank you all. Xxx |

Everyone who attended was so friendly. I was made to feel very welcome. I went by myself, so no worries if you are going to the Invasion by yourself, you won't be stood by yourself. The venues were great, some a little on the quiet side but that probably isn't usual. Had a few drinks and a good dance. The bars are a little further to walk than I'm used to but I'm just a lazy cow, so next time would take flats to walk between some of the bars. If you haven't tried the Invasion, then you really should! As far as I'm aware it's the only trans event in the east midlands - so make sure you support it!! xxxxx |

Missed the last two events , so was eager to be out for this one. Lots of new faces and a good time had by all. Will have to join the girls for a meal next time before the Invasion begins. Very pleasant night and safe too. |
