Visiting from North America, I was not quite sure what to expect at this event that was posted here on the TVChix website. intrigued by the name, 'Retro Bar', decided I would drop by and check it out and find out firsthand. The upstairs bar is not very big, however, works out nicely for this type of event. Had some delightful and engaging conversations with the two founders of this meet-up group. Julie and Tina who were kind enough to approach me and engage in conversation. Also chatted with some other lovely ladies and a female admirer who was also there. Let's be clear here: This is not a pickup joint for T-girls. If you want that, you might want to consider other clubs that cater to that sort of thing. These gals are having a social gathering, and if you enjoy meeting new people, enjoying a drink and conversation, you'll have a great time. I did and look forward to another visit when next in London. |

Not far from Charring Cross Station so literally in the centre of London, Retro is a great place to meet up. The best of all worlds for a start to going out dressed, a first time in London or in my case just wanting to get out and see hopefully some familiar faces. You can meet in what is essentially a very friendly 'normal' London bar with the added advantage of being in a semi-private upstairs area with other Tgirls. Make new friends AND if you want use this as a base to explore other bars in London later that night or perhaps at a future time if you want. Entirely up to you. |

A lovely night with quite a good crowd of girls. Love this bar. Drinks g n t £5, wine £5.10. Staff are very chatty too and the hostesses are very welcoming and helpful to any new comers. The party split at closing half going to trishas and the other to the Phoenix. Managed to get last tube home :) |

This is a small gathering, very cosy and a nice place to chat as the music isn't too loud. Met some nice people, thanks to Victoria for taking me too Soho, via Leicester Sq, enjoyed the experience.

hiya lovely evening only 5 of us i think but lovely chatting, well it was if you like listening to me , god i talk so much. The girls were good though, everyone pretended to be interested and i only had to wake em up occasionally. One lovely guy bought us a bottle of bubbly which was ever so nice of him xx

Best bunch of gals on the scene. Great location (pricey drinks, however), but very friendly and relaxed atmosphere to go and make and meet new friends.
