Spent Thursday to Monday at sparkle 2015 - Had a Fantastic time everyone so Friendly and relaxed - also Bought VIP Tickets for Saturday and Sunday and Had a Photo Taken with Kellie Maloney and Bought her Book - Staff in the VIP Tent deserve a Thankyou - Joanne Trish and Leanne for keeping me well Lubricated with Bacardi and Coke - Will definately be Back next year - Cant Wait - Suzy XX

OMG what a fab weekend, was my first time there, just felt like I had come home, people so friendly, loved the party in the park, the stalls were so informative to. Thanks for the makeover QUEEN BEA, loved it, felt like a million dollars, made new friends two. Go people its the best place ever, girls that have never been, go, your missing out big time. Saturday Sparkle was great..... unfortunately I needed serious rest after Friday night and so I didn't get to things as early as I intended. I was meeting Michelle and Co. in the park in the afternoon to kick off but by the time I got dressed and spend a hurried half hour on my makeup and teetered down from the hotel, they had moved down Canal St and I met them outside Via. This meant that I totally missed Sparkle in the park!!! I feel soooooo guilty. Anyhow we managed to get a table outside and rest the aching feet. Spent an hour or so meeting some of Michelles' friends and having a couple of drinks. As always, the passing parade was awesome. Michelle had organised a group of us for dinner at Villagio so we all drifted off to the Britannia to get sorted for the evening. Eight o-clock and back down Canal St all tarted up for the night out. We had a group of nine at our table for dinner and my corsette was bursting after a brilliant disgusting and unhealthy meal. great company and a lovely time. I think we left Villagio aroud 10:30 and went to Via. That was very crowded and noisy as usual. I was looking for Cindy and Josie but couldn't see them although Cindy says they were there somewhere. You know how it is in a crowd. I wandered off to smoke and check out the street. Lovely people everywhere as always. Eventually went over to the Goose to chill for a bit and was hoping to catch Cindy there. She wasn't but I had a drink and chatted to a few people. Great pub. Time to recover and get off my heels so teetered back to hotel around 12:30. Fantastic day! Sparkle did it again. |

Sparkle on Saturday! Local venues supporting it, shops further afield by now not giving a damn, local police in the Police with Pride cars being visible, competant and polite. Everything set up and opening on time, a park heaving with people, events and singing on nicely. In the evening, many many folk flocking the bars and clubs, to the point some were turning people away at the door. I ended up visiting Club Lash, a BDSM one outside the village. They looked at me and asked "Sparkle?" "Oh yes." "Concessionary price then!" Which was nice. Only 4 stars for venue on two points: Saturday it gets very crowded. Bit of a victim of your own popularity there, as the Sparklers + local scene + saturday night clubbers = capacity crowds. The LGBT foundation building. It's close, there's a good range of workshops and things... and by golly it gets hot. Windows opened, fans deployed, but even so, with 30ish girls in a room and the July sun pouring in... not sure what you can do about that. |
