As a first timer I wasn't quite sure what to expect but Sparkle didnt disappoint. It was well organised, well ran and the stage acts were fabulous. Around the event I found a warm, welcoming and very friendly event, met many lovely ladies, as someone who is relatively new to going out socially I find the way our community embraces each other very uplifting. Will be sure to return but with probably smaller heels lol

Always nice to meet friends old and new ...... That's the only good thing, Not only are you fleeced in the bars (£5.75) for a small bottle of beer/larger that costs £1.00 in the cash and carry, but the organisers are now charging £££££££'s to get into the "Party in the park, .... needless to say that i was already being screwed for drinks, so like many others i did not go into the park. Will i go again ..... Yes |

After this event being free in the past there was a charge of £7.50 for the whole weekend which at £2.50 a day is brilliant value. The atmosphere was amazing all weekend and I met lots of new people as well as quite a lot of met in the past. Thank you to all those who spent time with me and also to those who offered me compliments across the whole weekend. And kudos to all the girls who are like myself forced to wear a wig. As the temperature was 33 degrees on Friday and 28 on Saturday to survive in the heat with make up was incredible. One tip for next year is that most of the hotels dramatically dropped their prices leading up to the event, so make sure you book free cancellation if you book in advance. |

Like most great events that were once free..the greedy have taken over this event charging £25 for full access....so for the first time this year in 7years I decided not to go..& I might aswell save .my money for a weekend in Blackpool which is a lot cheaper & better value for my money for the monthly tgurl weekend with friendlier bars & staff...but hey thats my opinion... |

The weather was oppressively hot and VERY HUMID. Blacked the usual atmosphere/ wasn't as busy. Usually it feels like an exciting carnival but not yesterday. |

Horrible train journey, warm but glad I made it. Not many people in the gardens but good atmosphere. Some excellent acts on especially Channy. Really enjoyed The Tacky Tarts in The Molly House afterwards. A Sparkle tradition. Well done Girls.

Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant.... did I say it was brilliant. A must do gender diverse big party. Seriously... I wish I had made my ex wife do Sparkle me, she may not have been my ex... More fun and friends on Saturday as sparkle rolled on, lunch outdoors on Canal Street at VIA, then the park, afternoon cream tea at the quaint Tea Rooms, and then clubbing into the early hours. Absolutely fabulous day.
