....The party continues in the park with some good acts, and a few dances in the clubs, before we all start to say our farewells. A bit sad, but we'll get to do it all again next year. Yay!! Canal street and the Manchester hospitality make this event one of the best. Just make sure you have a brolly to hand LOL See you all again next year! xx |

....Saturday is the main event. Great to see friends, old and new, and enjoy the day. Fair number of stalls to browse and a good turn out in the park. Well organized and managed......

Great time as usual, great atmosphere and good numbers even on the Sunday.. At least there were some comfy seats in the beer tent. Though I would say that a better venue for this would be the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, or a conference centre, as we know the weather is xxxxx in July.

Wow what an event, everything about it and the people involved is simply amazing, especially as you can put all of it together and make it open and free to everyone. My first sparkle and will not be my last, a date in the diary every year going forward!

Another Sparkle has passed. It seemed quieter than normal, though the weather was not great, but had a great time. Some good acts in Sackville gardens, and as usual the staff were excellent, helpful and friendly....a tiring but very rewarding weekend, with great diversity

Well as some of you will have noticed i had been very vocal on the forums about the lack of info and the general sense of malaise with all things Sparkle ,so when the new website finally appeared 2 weeks before the event whilst being a big improvement there was still the air of trepidation............ SO! I am now convinced somebody on here is part of the Sparkle team ,pretty much all our criticisms had been sorted. entertainment that was entertaining ,i have never seen so many people laughing and dancing when ginny lemon was on and yes some times there were issues .but that goes with the territory. More stalls than last year so that was better hopefully even more next year and my only tiny criticism was the 2 rows where very close together maybe that was a council thing ,but the whole road was closed so there was space . the bars are all super friendly as are the people of Manchester. well done Sparkle team ....I had a great weekend and im looking forward to next yr and even more improvements!! |

Well, after all the doom-mongering it turned out to be one of the best. Superb event that restores your faith in our community. Here's an idea - let's get behind it and make 2025 even better. Reports of its death are greatly exaggerated. Well done all involved. |

Lovely evening out 😊 chatting to so many people of all genders it was unreal, hopefully the organisers can update the website and promote as they go along rather than leave it till late,.this event has to go on yearly All the bars we were in are so friendly and same with restaurants all beautiful and food was awesome, have to mention the samsi and Alice tearooms which were absolutely superb |

Don't think it was as busy as previous years but then it makes getting a drink easier 🙂 wasn't in the park this year but overall it was an awesome weekend away Met a few friends and chatted with so many others it makes your day, the weather behaved ish had some gorgeous lunches in restaurants and love the Alice tearooms |

Great atmosphere , have been attending Sparkle for years always meet old friends and make new ones. Expensive [hotels and associated expense's] but worth it Planning outfits for next year !!! |

Absolutely flippin' amaging time !!! 1st time out in public for about 8yrs,escorted and plied with Vodka cola all night by Sara,omg she knows so many people and introduced me to some wonderful people.Had such a relaxed but lively time. Cant wait to try a Wednesday night out soon as no way waiting TILL next year |
