First official day of Sparkle though we'd been there since Wednesday. Lovely lunch with my friend Steve at the Richmond Tea Rooms, classy dinner in Velvet (best restaurant by miles on Canal Street), then the Molly House for Yvonne and the girls gig. They were amazing - four solid hours of playing and singing and audience participation. Continues to be the best event at Sparkle!! Then hit the street about 1.30am for more fun!

I went for the Sparkle weekend after an absence of a few years and had a great time in spite of the fact of falling over and getting a black eye, and no I wasn't drunk, in fact I and my friend were on our way to the park at around 12.30. We stopped at the Premier Inn on Store St. and I would highly reccommend staying there.

well what can you say - fantastic start to a brilliant week end - great food and drink in excellent company and in a place with so many supportive people around wow heres to friends and sparkle

Arrived Thursday and stayed at the Brittania until Sunday. What a fantastic hotel, highly recommended and the staff were excellent in particular the receptionist, Barbara and the Duty manager Cecelia who laced me into my ball gown on Saturday night. I did not ask her she volunteered, that is well over and above exceeding my expectations, thank you. Great buffet breakfast with full choice, all in all truly excellent, thank you. Met up with my new friends, Jenny, Jasmine and Davina on Friday we basked in the sunshine on Canal street and hit the village for night time fun. Went to party in the park Saturday and to the Sparkle Crystal ball saturday night and danced the night away in the village until 5 in the morning. Sunday just chilled on Canal street before heading home about 6.30. Excellent atmosphere, everything was great. Will be back next year xxx |

Met up with my new friends, Jenny, Jasmine and Davina and we went to the party in the park which was great. Lovely weather as well. We went to the Crystal Ball on the Saturday night. It was just too hot, maybe aircon needed in the future!!! Food was great, entertainment great but the big let down was no dance floor. The entertainer was on it. A ball should have a dance floor. I think it spoiled it as everyone just sat there. Davina and me danced near the tables but it's not the same. Lucky my prince charming did not arrive as he could not have whisked me to the dance floor. There was a heavy downpour on Saturday night but it stopped and Davina, Jasmine and me hit the village and danced until 5 in the morning!!! Excellent atmosphere, everything was great. Will be back next year xxx |

A lovely day which started off slowly but amazing how many people were still around later in the day. Hope the organisers can arrange for some stall holders to be there on Sunday next year. |

Sparkle totally lived-up to it's promise - it is officially the worlds biggest gathering and the Village is wonderful. I can totally recommend it.

Well... It was amazing! For any girl looking for her first time out then this is the place to go. No hassles all weekend, all the bars are great in the village, and all the girls are better :) Couldn't take drinks into the park though, and the queue for drinks inside was quite epic, and on grass (not the nest idea given the footwear of most the clientele)... but that really is the only gripe i could find... apart from too many hangovers and dead feet, if the organisers can create a cure for hangovers and sore feet then this event will be perfect :) xx

Hi again boys and girls Sunday morning quiet start but got busy by lunchtime , via very welcoming as was Taurus : Velvet and all the other venues park quieter but good music lots of girls and boys enjoying themselves , absolutely fabulous entertainment by the Scottish dancers next to Taurus put a smile on everyone's faces. . Brilliant the meaning of Sparkle to me lovely people spreading happiness. Sun eve a lot quieter crowds wise but still with being there went into napoleons quiet bit still interesting , finished the night off in new York great atmosphere lots of lovely boys and girls dancing left with a glow in my heart , As before Sparkle organisers put on a great showand the happy girls and boys Finished Sparkle smiling and happy !!' Sparkle a great place to come and enjoy the TG scene well done everyone love Karen Xxx:-) X |
