A great night as usual, shame the numbers were down, do hope this is a blip, hate to lose the ocassion, its so special. The band not as good as usual. But still a great night , long may it continue. |

very friendly venue. My first time there and the staff made me feel very welcome. The band were very good and I talked to several people who had travel long distances to the venue. The place is very popular. Parking easy and found it on my satnav ok. I do think there is potential with lighting and changing the atmosphere for different themes. |

Slightly less well attended I think than the last and so a little less "buzz" but nevertheless, still one of the best trans/alternative venues in the South. The live band was very good. Looking forward to the next one. |

Another wonderful, fabulous, magical Magic Theatre ! ...as always !!....My home from home ! .......Thanks Claire ! xx Great, as always, to see such lovely regular (and first timer) friends there, and a couple of fab surprise chance meetings too ! .....and, ...how perfect (as well I know) a vnue, an event) for getting acquainted for the first time at length. Yet again, ...I already can't wait for the next one ! One question, though, .....although not scheduled to perform, ....did anyone see a certain 'Derek The Cat' jump through rings of fire, as I was told he might ? :) |

The most delightful venue to go to. The Magic Theatre is a most wondrous setting for an evening,and i would recommend this charming venue everytime. The staff and general patrons are a sheer delight. Bravo MT. XXX |

I'm a vintage girl, so right up my street, set in the only restored original dance hall in London, Probably the best night out in London. It's truly magical.

What an utterly fabulous evening! Great fun! Loved the vibe of the place, the swing band, the mix of people and the atmosphere, it was such fun. I hadn't been to The Magic Theatre before, but will certainly go again. It was different, fun and friendly and I managed to bump into a couple of friends I've made of late, so all in all it was a great evening. The queue for the bar could be quite long, but then again, you can always chat with your friends whilst waiting to be served can't you! Excellent night, thank you, I shall return!

Wow! This was my 1st time at the Magic Theatre, the venue is stunning 1920's-40's style with a very large dance floor and stage, where we were entertained by the Fabulous Lounge Swingers! I danced all night, and the only disappointment was the 1am finish! Can't wait for the next one It was definately Magic!! |

Beautiful venue an old fashioned dance hall, beautifully maintained and it really is like stepping back in time. t is that rarest of things an event with a real mix of people and genders all solely focussed on dressing up and having a great time. Lots of tgirls with partners, lots of girlies just there for a Dance and the chance to dress up. The minority were guys, how unusual is that? A must go event. If you havent tried it you really are missing out. The only downside is its a bugger to get to being sarf london and all But off street parking is fine. And they have a little publicised but huge changing room with lovely mirrors and lots of hangers Security was interesting, i didnt see any as there is absolutely no need for them |

What can I say ... ?! Wow. I have had so many near misses and finally made it to the Magic Theatre this Saturday. A few years after my girlfriend from a mile down the road in Deptford dumped me for my incurable transvestism I was back in Brockley giving it th great big Nikki Vs ! I KNEW it was going to be good but actually - it was perfect. Five stars feels stingy. The venue is beautiful and it wasn't too crowded. A great back stage changing room which - by the time I arrived (late!) was roomy and bright. I couldn't possibly add anything by describing the venue but from the loos to the lights, it's gorgeous. The one queue for the bar is wonderful (especially for angsty, uptight people like me!) and in all it was just like stepping back into another - far better - era. Relaxed and fun and full of people just having the time of their lives. It was a celebration, a liberation, an expression and so much more. It was actually horrible to have to leave - not because of the freezing cold, but because of having to go back into the 'real' world, into 2013. I met so many people - people I've known for years and never met and people who came up to me out of the blue to gush compliments all over me. It was joyous. It was one of those nights where the sweet spot was just struck - everything so right you didn't even notice it. Was weird - when I go out as boy me I envy the trannies, but on Saturday I envied the chaps with their moustaches and cravates and being able to chat up ladies from all sorts of eras and backgrounds. Maybe next time. Or maybe next time I'll be a puppy or a Spiderman or a kitten or a lion tamer. Who knows. I just know that I had imagined something like the Magic Theatre all my life and on Saturday I walked into it. My soul was lifted, my heart filled and my feet didn't even hurt - or if they did, I never noticed them. All that remains is to thank the fantastic people who dreamed this and made it real. An inspiration to us all. Thank you. Can we do this every week please ... !? |

Once again the Magic Theatre came up trumps... The band were exclenent - their first perfirmance at MT for over a year - I reckon they are the best band to play there.... a swing beat covering mash-ups of modern day chewns!! I went with a number of first timers - all are looking forward to the next one immensely - as am I! |

WoW !! 10/10 you just have to go there for a fabulous evenings entertainment, what a lovely venue in an old art deco hall. therewas such a lovely wonderful friendly mix of well dressed poeple some more OTT than others some very smart some casul I even met the Pope & his 5 Nuns ! This was a mixed genre event so T-Girls most welcome and there was a few friends there to which was great for me as it was my 1st time there but I'll certainly be looking to go again. It's a lovely evening that can't be missed Rachel |
