a really Great night fab Brill Darren and Clare who put it all together did a brill job great band /disco friendly crowd all Genders boys and Girls tvs ts drag queeens RG boys gays and straight all dressed to kill fab costumes and clothes and all sorts of make up xxxx tara

Well, I had a great night out, I will have to make the most of it next time and get there earlier...have to remember to book a taxi. Everyone was friendly right from the doormen, ladies checking off the tickets and then the wonderful revelers.. even down to good banter in the toilet Que.. Will I go back...? YES Would I recommend..? YES Attitude free and fun what more could we want.. Tara x |

This was my first visit to Magic Theatre and it will not be the last. A fabulous venue being a listed building, built in the 1950's but looks much older in style. A classic ballroom with a stage at one end. By 10pm the venue was heaving and any exuberant dancing near out of the question. There was both disco and a live band and the sound system wasn't that bad either. This is not an exclusive TV event but dressing up is mandatory and posh frocks are just as welcome as costumes. This also by it's nature is an ideal venue for SO's and I have every intention of persuading the wife to go on the next event, surely before Xmas? And yes, I will dress! Be aware though that the venue is deep in SE London and has no motorways within miles so ample time should be left for navigating through London. Parking is relatively easy and there are quite a few hotels within reach. Highly recommended and if you read this review and want to go, I might be persuaded to hire a bus. |

great venue-fab people wonderfull music and atmosphere but they really need to sort the bar situation out--people were queeing for drinks for 40 mins or more--luv linda xx

Superb event as always. Fabulous cosu=tuems worm by so many creative people and a very friendly crowd and staff too! The only prob is as always the queues at tne bars which are more a product of the narrow design than poor organisation. On the whole a brill evening!

Well, I managed to miss the last two MTs, so it was ESPECIALLY great to be back again at the most fabulous venue and event in town !!.....and......to see so many beautifu, gorgeous friends again, .....some of whom I'd not seen in far too long ! ...If only there hafd been time to dance with each and every one ! A cracking event, ....highly recommended, .....which is why I've been going regularly for four or five years now. Bravo Claire and Darren, as always !! xx |

What a amazing venue , never knew such a building existed and what a fabulous evening we had. There were so many superb outfits I felt seriously underdressed and will be sure to make more of an effort next year. The only negative point was the music to dance to only really go going towards the end of the evening but apart from that a definite place to visit again. |

A great night! Halloween is always busy at Magic Theatre. One downside is that one has to queue for ages at the bar.

Magic Theatre is a fantastic night and this was no exception. Incredible turn out of people in soooo many really amazing costumes. just brilliant. Music was terrible...i didnt even notice the live band and the general consensus across pretty much everyone i spoke to was that the DJ selection of music was verging on a Joke....bottomed out below rock bottom when "come on eileen" came on....surely any DJ that plays to anyone less than 70years old know that this plus most of the other tracks they played should be buried with an RIP sign above them and a lot of soil on top!. Sorry to be blunt. MT is a fab event and the location is spectacular. Music...school report - could do better! Luv Charley xxx

Same as before,caberet not much,band ditto,DJ abs crap(as usual) wine bottle prices,up only decent thing was as the Eurovision Song Contest was on it was half full. oh and the girsl/outfits were the best thing there. |
