Amazing venue with an amazing night. My only gripe is it's in south London, but maybe I shouldn't live in north London...

Another great craic at Magic Theatre!!! Seemingly a bit slow to start - people seemed late arriving for some reason - but once in full swing it was fabulous, as always. Saw plenty of fellow Chixsters there! I particularly liked the lady compare / singer (sorry, forgot her name) who had a wicked sense of humour - she certainly put a different slant on things - the band were good (nice to see a different band, although the 'regular' band are a smidgeon better) - and I enjoyed the other acts too... Those that have said MT finishes too soon should go on to the after party - a chance to natter to those you my not have bumped into earlier in the evening. With the clocks springing forward I got home at 5am!! All 'n' all it's still the best Saturday night out - bar none!! Really looking forward to the next night on the 26th May!! |

Just love this place, we all have a great time, there's a lovely mix of folk, transgender mixing cheek by jowl with locals and everyone makes the effort to dress up for the occassion. Danced my feet sore, and then went to the after party in the wine bar down the road, then after after party in Jackie Blakes room in the Clarendon. Recommend this event for anyone wanting a good clean night out, great for couples and us singles alike, and the venue is superb, an old ballroom still full of glamour. I'll be there again in May. X |

This event is divine! Be who you want to be here, here ae no issues ... only appreciation for making the effort! Terrific entertainment, music and dance, friendly staff, an absolute dream night out!

Enjoyed the night, I got really drunk and danced a bit. There was this singer she was good. The band was ok but not the best that has been there. The main thing was I looked hot lol. |

This was our first time at Magic Theatre. OMG, What an amazing event. The event location is spectacular, the people their have made a real effort and look stunning and from start to finish we both had just the best time. We can tell how much we enjoyed it but the big cheesy grins on our faces two days later. This event is an absolute "Must attend" event. Contrary to what I said before in that I would hesitate about going again after I went to the Magic Theatre Halloween Event, when the place was crammed to fire hazard levels. I thought I'd give it a go once again as I felt like being nosey. Surprised to say I had a good night. Bumped into many T-Gurls that I knew which was a good start. The disco had reasonable music, good enough to dance to and awful enough to be able to sit for a while. Disappointingly the band came on a bit late and only did one stint, more of them and less of the cabaret I think. The amount of people was just about right. Short cues at the bar and room to sit and dance....Fab! Many made the effort to dress up and it was nice to see, only a few didn't bother, shame that some men were let in with trainers...yuk! All in all a good night...I'll go again. |

What an amazing venue, as so many have said before a hidden gem. A lovely mix of people from all walks of life, one heck of a fancy dress party. Early evening music was great being a mix of older disco classics and some ballroom dancing music for those who enjoy this dancing stlye as I do. The entertainment was good fun and the band played well. The later night music was not to my taste, but it was still very well done. Not too loud so conversation was possible. Go again, you bet your sweet nelly I will, and recommend anyone who enjoys a good party to do likewise. The location is superb as parking is free and plentiful in the surrounding streets. |
