I am very sad to learn of the recent passing of Ruth, after a short illness.
Below is a tribute written by two of her close friends, NykkiAnette and Michelle from Stoke.

.......It is with a heavy heart that I share with you the reported death of a very dear friend from the W.Yorkshire area "Ruth"
Ruth was a lady who enjoyed `being out`, dining and visiting venues where fellow girls gathered. Although she was from `White Rose Country` and a Leeds United supporter, she much enjoyed transporting fellow girls from Leeds when she attended restaurants and nights out in Manchester and was always present unless holidays or business prevented her attendance. She was last in Manchester at Sparkle when a small gathering enjoyed her presence over the long weekend.
She was a regular visitor to Sparkle, an early contributor to LFF when it was held at the Viaduct pub in Leeds, a regular at the ORL, (Old Red Lion), pub quiz in Leeds and for those who recall it the Xhibit bar in Leeds.
We hope to organise a Christmas Party - current date is 14th December - . We will raise our glass to `an absent friend` whom we are sure will be looking down upon us, since she said that she would be present after her treatment - ever the optimist as life should be lived - but alas a promise she is unable to keep through the forces of a `greater power`
