Hello Everyone heres a bit about me :)
My name is Shelley
Im 32
I'm 5ft5 tall
I have long curly ginger hair
I have green eyes and wear glasses
I am open minded, and will talk about almost anything with anyone (within reason) and often do.
I am generally a smiley and friendly person, who likes to treat others how I would prefer to be treated (with respect)
and..... yes those are my feet in the picture - I love being on the beach and feeling the sand between my toes.
I am also a youth worker, who has recently set up a social group for those who are 13 to 25 in Oxfordshire (or wherever if you can get to us in Abingdon). After meeting some friends who turned out to be trans, who I have enjoyed getting to know, I have realised how little support there is out there in the world which is why I pushed my managers to let me set one up.
The group is a place where you will find support, a friendly face, a listening ear and a bacon buttie or two (vegetarian option provided too!).
Topaz Abingdon will run on the 3rd Saturday of each month, from 11am to 1pm.
It is for people who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transexual, Transgender, teenagers of parents who identify with any of the above or anyone questioning their identity (apologies if my wording does not exactly reflect where you are at, its not meant to label anyone or be a "catch all" you are also welcome).
Infact the only people who are not welcome are people with an axe to grind, ignorant or those who intend to cause trouble as we are seeking to provide an open supportive and caring environment.
We are not charging for the group as we recognise that could be a barrier to people being able to come, and for those in Oxfordshire we may be able to provide help with transport costs.
