Description:
Home of Outskirts, Birmingham's social support group for trans people and their friends.

Equator Bar is always a friendly place towards trans people at any time. Outskirts meets there on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month. Most people arrive around 8.00pm, bar closes at midnight. There is great parking opposite the bar, reasonably priced at £3.50 all day.

It is a mixed gay bar, smart and comfortable with food served during the day.

Upcoming Events at Equator Bar
Birmingham Belles: One big happy family
Night Out (Club)

Open from 9pm to
Its the bustling bubbly Birmingham Belles. Get yourself down to Hurst Street and become a Belle in the buoyant bars and clubs. Its a great alternative to LFF and has more bars than a BNO.

Everyone is welcome, yes that includes admirers, don't be shy we don't bite ☺. We normally stay at the Ibis Bordesley Circus and then taxi down to the Equator Bar for around 9pm. If you book early you should be able to get the room for between £50 to £60. If you stay at the Ibis we meet in the bar between 8:00 - 8:30 then share taxis to the Equator.

We meet up at the Equator (because its in the middle) on Hurst Street and stop there for a drink or two. Then to the Loft, The Fox, then Eden and finishing at The Village. Its all free its all fun and its all very friendly so get your name down and join us there.

Need somewhere to eat beforehand China Town and the Arcadian centre are a few minutes walk from Hurst Street. Need a new outfit the Bullring shopping centre is walking distance from Hurst Street. I also recommend Dresscode a clothes shop on Moat Lane, opposite the Bullring outdoor market. This shop is t girl heaven, the staff are friendly, go dressed or in drab they don't mind.

If Belles falls on the 3rd Saturday, next day is the Birmingham Bizarre Bazaar (BBB), the uk's premier fetish market. Three floors of quality fetish equipment and clothes, a demonstration and after party.

I hope that's everything you need to know but drop me a message or stop me in chat in the midlands room to find out more.

Outskirts Social Group: Social gathering for drinks and chat
Other (see description)

Open from 8pm to

Outskirts is the Midlands largest social support group for trans people.

It's a fast growing and very friendly group whose aim is to encourage girls to gain greater confidence. We are always happy to welcome newcomers and all of us remember both the elation and the fear of our first time out.

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month at Equator Bar, 123 Hurst Street, Birmingham B5 6SE, close to Missing and the Loft Lounge.

There is a well lit NCP car park nearby, an open car-park opposite and we can arrange for someone to meet you and escort you if necessary.

It was a really busy night with lots of people turning up. I counted around 30 trans women and girls. Lots of people getting their party tickets and talking about the big event.

Outskirts is a great night out with like minded people, no explanations needed and a very friendly atmosphere.

One of my currently rare appearances at Outskirts. It was so nice to see everyone and quite a busy night too, I counted 25 lovely trans girls. I also delivered the Christmas party tickets to Laura, not long to the party.
A couple of new girls there too being made very welcome and brought into the friendly Outskirts fold, it's a great place to come for a night out even if it's your first time.
