Clean, tidy, functional and quirkily decorated hotel with smallish but adequate rooms. Bedroom lighting is a little dim but the bathrooms have a nice large make up mirror and good bright lighting.

Staff are friendly and well trained.

Just a short walk to Canal Street; go left out of the Hotel along Portland Street, take the second left into Minishull Street and keep walking until you come to Canal Street, takes about 3 minutes in sensible shoes.

That route is quite busy with vehicles and pedestrians, if you want a quieter route then take the first left down Aytoun Street, cross over Aytoun STreet and take the first right along Major Street, at Minishull Street go left and follow it until it ends at Canal Street, also about 3 minutes.
