Sackville Gardens is a public park used by the annual Sparkle Celebration. It is also the location of the Alan Turing Memorial.

The Sparkle Weekend is a festival-style family event featuring live music and entertainment, talks and workshops, and an opportunity for our corporate sponsors, grassroots charities, and trans-run businesses to engage with our visitors. As well as the main Sparkle event in Sackville Gardens, most people also attend the many clubs, pubs and restaurants in the surrounding gay village in the Canal Street area of Manchester. The event runs from Friday evening, 12th July, to Sunday afternoon, 14th July. There is a live stage, food outlets as well as stalls (stalls are daytime Saturday and Sunday only). |
