Description:
A bar which is a recreation of the famous / notorious Colony Room which was in Dean Street, Soho, and was the haunt of artists and writers. This new bar was established by artist Darren Coffield, and is in Heddon Street, off the West side of Regent Street. The street was the location for the cover photo of Bowie's Ziggy Stardust album, and there is a plaque to commemorate it. The bar is in the basement of the Ziggy Green restaurant, and entry is via a door around the corner of the restaurant with a 4 on the door. Drinks are average West End prices. Opening times are 3pm to 11pm. There is a pianist from Wednesday to Saturday. Tends to be quiet early evening. The clientele are both young and old(er). Members of the trans community are accepted and welcomed.
