Bar Plus Drag Queen competition starts this Sunday night at 8pm and is hosted by Tracy Mustard, she’s as thick as custard, who is my (Kirsty) alter ego, Essex Trashy Slapper who doesn’t get anything right.
This carries on from the Open mic nights which have proved to be popular. Customers have been asking for a Drag competition for five months, and we cannot wait for Sunday, and to see the talent that’s out there.
As usual, we have rooms for hire from as little as 30 minutes to an overnight stay for the travel weary.
Bar Plus is a classy cocktail and coffee bar with a nightclub vibe that has a unique feel to it. We are constantly told that the welcoming atmosphere is amazing. So much so you’ll feel like you’re at home.
We stock an extensive selection of drinks and refreshments that include two exclusive draught beers that cannot be bought anywhere else, and Brooklyn Brewery Stonewall IPA, alongside premium quality Essex Spirits Gins, Rums, and Vodkas, distilled just a short walk away from our bar.
There’s no stone left unturned when it comes to creating and designing the perfect environment for transgender people and the wider LGBT community and their allies.
Bar Plus is a 15 minute walk from the mainline train station and major bus depot in the city centre. Alternatively, you’ll find taxis to whisk you swiftly to our venue.
We even have a large and fabulous covered courtyard tastefully decorated and furnished with rattan furniture, all illuminated with Victorian style street lamps and twinkly fairy lights. We even supply fluffy blankets to snuggle under.
